Mandela Effect - What It Is // Why the King James Bible Hasn't Been Altered

Mandela Effect - What It Is // Why the King James Bible Hasn't Been Altered

All over the internet is a phenomenon in which people claim to have vivid memories of famous statements, labels, and names which are different from what we see in real life. This phenomenon is called the "Mandela Effect."

The Mandela Effect

It originated when people began speaking of how they were certain Nelson Mandela had passed away while in prison, years ago. The truth is that Mandela passed away in 2013. Other supposed "changes" include the title of popular children's books: The Berenstain Bears. Many people online claim to have remembered the title being spelled with a "-stein" suffix, as in "The Berenstein Bears." Names ending in "-stein" suffixes are commonplace, as in Feldstein.

But, the surname of the now-deceased creators of The Berenstain Bears, Stan and Jan Berenstain, was a misspelling of Bernstein by an immigration official. The name "Berenstain," according to Michael Berenstain (their son), was an immigration official's attempt to phonetically spell the name Bernstein. Michael's great-grandparents were Jewish people who fled pogroms in Ukraine, arriving in America, in the late 19th century (Edmiston)

Due to their thick accents, an immigration official spelled their name Bernstein as "Berenstain" when they told him their surname. Interestingly, Michael mentioned that his dad, Stan, wrote about how a school teacher challenged the spelling of his surname. She had thought the young Stan had misspelled Berenstain and that is should be spelled "Berenstein" (Edmiston).

While the spelling of The Berenstain Bears has become a topic on the internet, other people are certain that Jif peanut butter should be spelled "Jiffy" peanut butter. They could be getting Jif mixed up with Skippy peanut butter. Or, with the phrase, "I'll be there in a jiffy."

Some people also think that Curious George, a monkey character, used to have a tail. But, that is likely because most monkey cartoon characters have tails, as do real-life monkeys. But, they mistakenly attribute the absence of a tail on Curious George to a supposed "change" in our physical world.

The Worst "Mandela Effect" Theory

The worst "Mandela Effect" theory is that the holy King James Bible has been supposedly "altered" by alternate dimensions or some kind of advanced technology. While it is true that the CERN particle accelerators and D-Wave quantum computers are real, it is not true that they altered the King James Bible or any language translation of the Bible. Why? Because God promised to preserve the Holy Bible.

Psalm 12:6-7 says: "[6] The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. [7] Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Some have wrongfully claimed, on the internet and on radio programs, that the King James Bible has been "altered," but what has actually happened is nothing more than an unleashing of a clever trick from the master of deception. Satan, the father of lies (See John 8:44), is pulling the wool over people's eyes to try to get them to doubt the truth (or veracity) of God's preserved, inspired Holy Scriptures, which God promised to preserve forever (Psalm 12:6-7). The deceiver is wrongfully telling God's people that God's Holy Bible is "altered" and that it "cannot" be trusted.

If the devil can get God's people to doubt God's Holy Bible, then the devil will be able to lead them into the worship of a false "christ," the Antichrist (a.k.a. the beast). The Bible warns, in Matthew 24:24 and Mark 13:22, that even the elect could be deceived by the end times deceptions that the devil will unleash, and is unleashing, on the people of God, and on the whole world.

In Matthew 24:24, Jesus Christ said: "[24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

Mark 13:22-23 -- "[22] For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. [23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things." [End quote]

In John 8:44, Jesus Christ told evil men these profound words: "[44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

Isaiah 11:6 and the "Mandela Effect"

One lie the devil has told some Christians is that Isaiah 11:6 has somehow been "changed."  Some Christians have erroneously thought that this verse should be speaking of Jesus as being the lion and the lamb. So, they mistakenly thought that a lion should dwell with a lamb in the verse below.

Isaiah 11:6 says: "[6] The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them." [End quote]

But, Isaiah 11:6 is not speaking of Jesus Christ at all. There are many popular Christian songs about Jesus Christ being a type of Lion and Lamb. And, that is true. He came, in a human body, as a symbolic sacrificial lamb, the first time. But, His second coming will be as the Lion of Judah to destroy the Antichrist and all who follow Satan. Jesus will judge the whole earth and rule as God and as King over the whole world.

However, Isaiah 11:6 is not speaking of Jesus Christ at all. We need to read more of the surrounding verses to get the context.

Isaiah 11:7-9

"[7.] And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. [8.] And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. [9.] They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea." [End quote]

The wolf and the lamb dwelling together are akin to a poisonous snake (an asp) not harming a child, or a cow and a bear being friends. Normally, wild, carnivorous animals will attack humans or sheep. But, during the millennium, in which Christ rules over our planet earth, there will no longer be animals killing one another, or animals killing humans.

CONCLUSION - The Deception of the Antichrist

Now, before Jesus Christ returns in the clouds of heaven, the Antichrist will seek to lead the whole world astray after the worship of himself and the devil. To do so, he will need all the world to not hang so tightly onto their traditional beliefs so that they will accept the globalist teachings of the false prophet and all who promote the beast system.

The devil has to make people doubt the supposed "veracity" of their religions so that they will worship him. For a Christian to doubt the Holy Bible and its veracity and unchanged purity is to doubt the God of the Holy Bible, who promised to preserve His Word. If we Christians doubt God's Holy Bible, we will have nothing to stand on, and will have no basis to believe on the matchless Name and nature of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Romans 3:4, the Holy Spirit says through Paul these powerful words:

[Romans 3:4] "[4] God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged."

In these last days, the devil is working hard to get us to doubt God, doubt the Holy Bible, doubt who the Lord Jesus Christ is, and doubt what Jesus accomplished with His one-time sacrifice for us on the cross 2,000 years ago. If the devil can get us to doubt God's Holy Bible,* then the devil will easily be able to lead us into great apostasy and deception, including the acceptance of various sins.

[* The King James Bible is God's preserved Word for the English-speaking world. Modern versions of the Bible change verses and leave out others. If you are wondering about this, you can research it online. But, I also encourage you to seek God about it.]

Without a solid foundation to stand on, Christians could easily be led astray. So, we Christians must seek to know God in a very personal way. Abba Father God is calling out to us, desiring for us to have close, personal, intimate fellowship with Him. He desires us to know how much He loves us.

God's Great Love

If He didn't love us greatly, God the Father wouldn't have personally received great suffering and grief to see His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, suffer on a cross (Isaiah 63:9).* But, because God the Father greatly loves us and cherishes us (including the whole human race) (John 3:16-17), He and Jesus agreed to have Jesus die on a Roman cross, about 2,000 years ago, and then have Jesus be raised back to life three days later (1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

So, we can know that God the Father is a loving, good, deeply-caring Father, who earnestly desires to have our attention and fellowship (1 John 1:3 and 1:7). Let's seek Him now and get to know Him better than ever before.

The Bible is how God the Father reveals Himself to us in a clear and powerful way. The Bible is how we know that God the Father will actually speak with us and tell us things personally with His still, small voice (John 16:13 and 1 Kings 19:11-12). In addition to speaking to us in a still small voice, God the Father shows us truth and corrects wrongful beliefs we have as we read through the Holy Scriptures

Don't let the devil snatch the powerful Word of God from you. Hebrews 4 shows us the power of God's Word and that it is much sharper than a sword. So, let's seek God and read His Word, and God will bless us as we do.

Hebrews 4:12-13

"[12] For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. [13] Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do."

[* Speaking of God, Isaiah 63:9 says: "[9] In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old."]

THE SOVEREIGN GOD WILL NOT LET HIS WORD BE CHANGED

God said in His Word, the Bible (the KJV for English-speaking people), that His counsel shall stand (i.e. remain immovable), and that God will do all His pleasure. Satan cannot do beyond what God allows him to do. And, Almighty God will never allow His Holy Bible to be changed or altered in any way.

Isaiah 46:9-10

"[9] Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

[10] Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:"

James 1:16-17 says: "[16] Do not err, my beloved brethren. [17] Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
