Chapter 4

A NATO Military Base. Germany. 2034 A.D.

A blinding flash of very bright light suddenly filled the sky. It was followed by a powerful concussion wave which struck buildings, turning them into billions of flying particles in an instant. The explosion was heard for many, many miles. A column of hot gas and radioactive dust ascended high into the air above the ruins of a NATO military base in Germany. This pillar of destruction could be seen for many miles as it continued its ascent into the air.

All over Europe, this scene was repeated in certain areas targeted by Russian nukes.

Minutes after Russia had deployed thousands of powerful nukes toward America, more Russian nukes were fired toward NATO bases in Europe. But, these warheads

-- fired at European bases -- had smaller nuclear yields and did not instantly obliterate whole populations of civilians like the ones fired at America did.

Judah Joseph Israel’s House. France. 2038 A.D. {Francois Israel}

A knock came at the front door of Judah Joseph Israel’s country home in a rural area of France. Judah Israel, a 54-year-old Jewish man with graying hair above his ears, walked over to the door, with a little uneasiness. ‘Could this be the secret police?’ he thought as he scratched his short, grey beard and approached the spy hole in the door.

He had just gotten off a living-room couch where he had been reading the Bible and seeking God.

Now, standing before the front door, he peeped through the spy hole and his concern turned into joy. For, standing outside was his son, Francois. Judah flung open the door and embraced his son in a loving hug. And, his son returned the hug.

“It is so good to see you again, Francois, my son,” Judah said. “I have wondered when you would visit.”

“I have been pretty busy, but I wanted to see you more often,” Francois said, feeling happy to see that his dad was so welcoming, but also feeling a little concern about the possibility that a listening device might be recording their words. 

Francois tapped on his dad’s arm and motioned for him to follow him outside.

“What?” Judah said, frowning. “What is this, Francois?”

NATO … Russia’s Retaliation (1 of 6)

Russia had received a limited attack from a nation in the NATO alliance. In response, Russia had taken its white gloves off and had unleashed a swarm of devastating nuclear missiles toward the United States. Minutes later, smaller nuclear warheads, which were less deadly, were launched toward NATO bases in Europe.

As nuclear explosions filled the skies of Europe and America with bright, radioactive columns of hot gas and nuclear fallout, NATO units that had escaped the near-instant destruction were in complete disarray, confusion, and terror. But, some NATO commanders prepared to launch missiles toward Russia. A few struck some of Russia’s bases, but most were shot down by advanced technologies the Russians had developed.

Then, Russian hypersonic warheads and cruise missiles obliterated the remaining NATO bases, submarine pens, battalions, and installations. Crippled beyond repair, NATO was defeated forever. The alliance was gone. Their weapons, military prowess, and millions of soldiers were killed or obliterated within twenty minutes from the start of World War Three. With NATO out of the picture, and with most of its military bases in radioactive ruins, Europe could not fight Russia.

Francois cringed and placed a finger over his lips.

Judah got the cue and stepped out of the house, leaving the door open ajar. He followed his son behind the house and out into the lawn for some ways. When Francois was certain they were far enough away, he breathed a sigh.

Then, he said, “Dad, I’m sorry for that, but I was concerned that there could be listening devices in your house that the government might use to spy on us.”

“There is no need for concern, son,” Judah said. “No one, to my knowledge, has placed ‘bugs’ in the house.”

“I have heard that the government can turn any cell phone,” Judah said, “or home phone, or computer microphone, that is plugged in, into a covert listening device.”

“I didn’t know that. But, they haven’t arrested me, and I have prayed out loud,” Judah said.

“You never know when they might decide to tap into your phone and listen in,” Francois said. “I suggest we talk about all sensitive topics outside and away from the house. I know of several underground Christians who have ‘disappeared’ in the last month. Several of my friends believe that they were kidnapped by the government and sent to concentration camps.”

“But, don’t you have a cell phone with you?” Judah said with some concern.

NATO … The Build-Up to War. (2 of 6)

The powerful Russian onslaught had come suddenly, but tension had been growing between NATO and Russia since a military “coup” had suddenly disrupted the modus operandi in Washington D.C. The “coup” had appeared to remove President Obama from power. Obama had left Washington D.C. for a certain South American country months earlier.

Now with Obama seemingly hiding for his life, America began gearing up for war with Russia like never before. The military government that came into being following the “coup” began to prepare America for an all-out war with Russia. Conscription was instituted across America, and millions of young Americans were drafted into the U.S. military. At the same time, the military leadership in Washington D.C. began to form stronger ties with Germany, the U.K., France, Australia, and other European or commonwealth nations.

Russia looked on with a disapproving and somewhat fearful eye. China and Russia began preparing their troops for war. The great Asian power began drafting millions and millions of young Chinese into their armed forces. Russia did the same. Factories in China, Russia, and other nations began producing tanks and other armored vehicles in greater quantities.

Australia and New Zealand prepared to go to war with both China and Russia. More and more incidents began to take place where Chinese naval vessels and aircraft flew or sailed dangerously close to non-Chinese vessels and aircraft. Tension grew to a new height, and the “Doomsday Clock” was turned to a fraction of a degree from the 12:00 position.

“Not anymore,” Francois said. “I terminated the phone service more than a year ago. I have to be very careful about communications. The government spies on all phones. They also record text messages, internet searches, and words spoken over the phone in giant supercomputers. If you do something suspicious, the supercomputer network will alert authorities. And, you will likely be interrogated or arrested.”

“That is not good,” Judah said. “But, I don’t have a cell phone, so I must be fairly safe. And, I don’t use the home phone for sensitive information. I have no internet because I don’t want to make that into an idol. So, this house has very little electronics compared to most homes.”

“Do you have a new refrigerator, TV, or radio?” Francois said. “Or some other appliance?”

“My appliances are fairly old, Francois. They are from the late ‘90s or early 2000s,” Judah said. He looked at his son with curiosity and said, “Why do you ask?”

“All the appliances from 2023,” Francois said, “and onward have technology that can spy on you and report what you are doing to a supercomputer network. TVs have tiny cameras that transmit information which is intercepted by the government. Supercomputers using advanced software and “machine-learning” technology can identify behavior that is considered to be dangerous.”

“That’s not good,” Judah said, scratching his chin. “But, what about the refrigerator?”

NATO … What Happened After the Nuclear Strikes (3 of 6)

After the NATO nation had fired a strike on a certain region of Russia, the powerful “bear” launched a full scale nuclear attack on America and on parts of Canada. Smaller nukes were fired at NATO bases in Europe. China launched powerful strikes on American bases in South Korea, Japan, and elsewhere.

And India, caught between the West and the East, placed its troops on standby and prepared to side with the winning team. Pakistan trembled but maintained its alliance with China. Saudi Arabia experienced the wrath of Iran. For, once the war was started, there was no stopping it. Since Iran was an ally with Russia, it felt it had the superpower’s support in attacking its rival, the Saudi kingdom.

Many, many missiles flew toward the oil-rich country, obliterating its military, some of its refineries, and some strategic targets. Then, Iran prepared to invade Saudi Arabia, but Russia gave Iran orders to forestall the Iranian ambitions toward the Middle East.

With its military and economy in ruins, Saudi Arabia was crippled. Prices began to skyrocket in the Arabian kingdom, and poverty became rampant. Thousands of Saudis fled to neighboring countries, but they were not much better off.

Africa was affected by the powerful conflict. Many African nations saw their economies failing as they could no longer sell products to Europe or America or experience Western investment in their nations. Soon after the initial nuclear attacks had ceased, the powers that ran China, however, focused on Africa and began pouring more money into building up Africa’s economies, infrastructure, and railroads.

“The ‘smart fridges’ that I have seen in most people’s homes record all the food one has purchased,” Francois said. “Each ‘smart fridge’ also contains tiny listening devices, which give you the option to tell the fridge’s computer to remind you what food you need to buy, based on your diet.”

“That is strange,” Judah said. “I’ve tried to stay away from technology as much as possible. I realize so much evil is available on it, and I don’t see the need for it. God is my Best Friend. There is no One like Him. I don’t need to entertain myself. I have God.” 

“You’re right, dad,” Francois said. “God is all we need.”

“Son, why don’t we go inside and I’ll make you delicious meal?” Judah said. “What do you say?”

“That sounds good,” Francois said. “I am feeling hungry after my bus trip. I had to walk five miles from the bus station to your house.”

“Oh, why didn’t you give me a call?” Judah said. “I could have picked you up.”

“I just want to be careful, dad,” Francois said quietly. “I may have been followed.”

NATO … Global Depression and Slave Labor (4 of 6)

But, the termination of America created a global depression that swept the globe. No longer would America be a place for investment or a customer. No longer could multi-national corporations receive money from American enterprises. Trillions of dollars were lost over the destruction of America, and many countries entered hard times. But, because the governments of China, Russia, and a few other nations had been preparing for this event, they were ready to reinvent their economies to thrive in this new, post-American world.

China implemented slave labor, using Uyghurs and other ethnic or religious groups. Concentration camps began springing up all over China and North Korea to house millions of un-wanted Chinese who were not totally loyal to their communist party. And, as China’s power grew, they decided take North Korea and place it under their complete control. By this time, North Korea had invaded South Korea and had turned it into a concentration camp, so to speak.

The unified Korea was now ruled by the North, but China did not want so much power to be in the hands of a Korean, so China removed the North Korean dictator and placed a Chinese official in charge of the unified Korea. Under this new government, South Koreans faced severe oppression, surveillance, and many faced internment in concentration camps. The Koreans were treated worse than the Uyghurs in 2019 were treated. And, a surveillance state like that in Xinjiang province (in China) was created to monitor, control, and brainwash the South Korean people.

Carpathian Mountains. Romania. 2038 A.D. {Matthew Jeremiah}

In a dense pine forest in the Carpathian Mountains, Matthew Jeremiah, his wife Sarah, and some other Christians were hiding away from communist authorities and spies. Three weeks ago, communist soldiers had intruded into the sanctuary of the Christians and had arrested weak Christians and Roma people who had been staying out in the forest. But, Matthew and a number of other Christians, including Roma Christians, had escaped detection by a miracle of God.

Now, they were seeking God, reading the Bible, and desiring to know their Creator and Abba Father God more than ever before. As they drew closer to their good God and Abba Father, the Christians began to hear His Spirit speak to them more and more. Soon, they felt a sense that it was His will for them to move. But, they didn’t know where just yet, or how. Communists controlled check points on the roads of Romania and throughout Europe. Travel along those restricted roads seemed impossible, especially for Roma people who were restricted to certain regions of Europe.

NATO … The Invasion of Japan and America (5 of 6)

Japan was invaded shortly after the nuclear attacks struck Europe and America. A million or more Chinese soldiers swept into Japan after bombing their few military bases. Since Japan was not given an offensive military, it could not fight back much, and was quickly subdued by the Chinese forces. 

While this was happening, America was bombarded with nuclear missiles, bombs, biological weapons, poison gases, and such. In a short time, many millions of Americans were dead, and cities were lifeless or in ruins. The powerful country was gone. Several weeks later, Chinese and Russian soldiers landed in America to “mop up” the country and detain millions of those who survived the devastating attacks.

Carpathian Mountains.

The communists running the puppet dictatorships of the “new soviet empire” didn’t allow the freedom of movement to anyone unless they were communist party officials or special individuals loyal to the communist governments. So, traveling by train, by aircraft, or by car would be impossible for the Roma Christians and for Matthew and his other non-Roma friends.

But, nonetheless, Matthew and his group trusted that their God would somehow get them to a safer place. Then, one day, as they were seeking God, Matthew heard God speak a specific message to him that would change their lives forever.

[Note: The following quotes attributed to God are actually words from God. Seek God about this if you wonder.]

“My son,” God’s Spirit spoke to Matthew.

“Yes, Abba Father,” Matthew said, sensing God’s presence and peace.

God said:

“I would like you to tell the group that you shall all be translated to a new location. In the same way I translated Philip from the Ethiopian eunuch, I will translated you to a safe place of refuge in the continent of Asia. There I will provide all you need and more. You will go to a town or a small city of refuge where you will be with other Christians. For, I tell you that Russia and its puppet regimes will begin turning up the heat in Europe and Russian Asia.

“Nonetheless, I will provide safe areas for My Church to live in and stay at. I will provide areas up to 50 miles squared in area. Some may be larger than that. Those areas will be safe from satellites, drones, aircraft, spies, and other harmful surveillance. Only true believers in Jesus will be translated to these cities of refuge. And, only true believers in Jesus, who really love me and want to follow Me wherever I send them, will be translated to these cities.”

[Note: Fifty (50) miles squared is roughly 127.96 square kilometers.]

“People who don’t really want Me to be the Center and Core of their existence, who don’t want to surrender their ambitions, will, goals, plans, even their plans for how to further My Kingdom on earth, will have to go through more refining before I either take them to Heaven or to a city of refuge on earth.

“The reason these cities will exist is for three purposes. One is to provide safe places on earth for those who really love Me and want Me to be their Center and their Focus for everything. The other is to protect the Church from the evil that will be unleashed on the earth. There will be great evil unleashed upon the earth. Persecution will increase greatly. The hardness of men and women’s hearts will increase more and more. The desire to kill Christians will increase. The sodomy, fornication, lust, adultery, perverse things, and abominations shall increase even in Muslim countries that were intolerant of such things.

“I tell you that My wrath is kindled against false Christians who profess to know Me but who love the world more than they love Me. I am grieved with them because they have cast out their first love, and have brought in the doctrines of devils. They have trampled underfoot My Son, Jesus Christ, and have desired that a murderer be granted to them -- that murderer, in this case, is the devil.”

God continued, saying:

“I am referring to the devil in this allegorical way to show that they, like the religious Jews in the days of Jesus, have desired that their Messiah -- who clearly demonstrated that He is the God of Israel and the Messiah of the whole world --would be killed on a Roman cross. And, they wanted a murderer, Barabbas, to be set free so that Jesus Christ would be killed. Out of bloody intentions they killed Jesus, but I raised up Jesus to life and gave Him a new body, a glorified body. I shall do the same for all who believe on Jesus Christ for salvation.

“Now, I will tell you that the other reason for moving the true Church to the wilderness is to protect them from the goats that will spread lies throughout the world. The goats, who once knew Me but cast Me out of their lives, will come against the Church, and seek to deceive it, and lead it into sin, and idolatry, and rebellion against Me. They will speak lies and deceptions. So, here is what I will do.”

{Note: Spiritual goats (see Matthew 25:31-33, 41) are defined by Jesus Christ as those who claimed to serve Him but who really sought their own will and way (See Matthew 7:15-29). Spiritual goats are represented either by the stony soil or the weed-infested soil in the Parable of the Sower (See Luke 8:5-15). There are many Bible passages that speak about the falling away from the faith in Jesus Christ. We give a few examples below.

Revelation 3:5-6 says: “[5] He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment ; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. [6] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” {End quote.}

Comment: This passage of scripture indicates that some people will get their names blotted out of the Book of Life. They could only have been written in the Book of Life if they actually had received eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 10:26-29 says:

“[26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of

the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

[27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,

which shall devour the adversaries.

[28] He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or

three witnesses :

[29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought

worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath

counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an

unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace ?” [End quote]

Comment: This rebellious man walked over the Son of God, despising Jesus. And by his choices to go his own way, this man reckoned that the blood of Jesus (which made him sanctified at one time) was an “unholy thing”. He also had spite or contempt for God’s Holy Spirit; and for God’s conviction of sin; and for God’s justice to judge the rebel. This rebellious man once had personally received the covenant of salvation through Jesus Christ, which had once made the man holy and set apart to God. Now, having rejected Jesus Christ, this rebel is bound for Hell and damnation.

Hebrews 6:4-6 says:

[4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have

tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy

Ghost,

[5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world

to come,

[6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance ; seeing

they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an

open shame. [End quote]

Comment: Notice the words [1] “enlightened” (Meaning ‘given light’ or special knowledge of Jesus through the Holy Spirit.); [2] “heavenly gift” (Which is the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.); [3] “were made partakers of the Holy Ghost” (They drank from the life-giving water of the Holy Spirit like all true Christians do.); [4] “tasted” [the] “powers of the world to come” (They tasted of what is to come, just like all true Christians do by way of the Holy Spirit.); [5] “renew them again unto repentance” (You can’t bring them back again to a place of repentance since they are so hardened against God.); [and] [6] “crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh” (Jesus Christ had died for these people. Since they rejected Him, after having received Him, He cannot be crucified again to pay for this sin of rejecting Jesus.) }

“I will allow the persecution of the Church to get so great, that the Church will cry out to Me; seek Me like never before to know Me intimately; and the Church will come out from the world, be separate, and will go into places of refuge very soon. But, other Christians, who don’t really want to do My best will with their lives, will be arrested and thrown into concentration camps, prisons, and jails. They will be persecuted to prepare them for great things and to bring them away from the carnal mind, which is a wicked, fiendish thing.

“As My Word teaches in Romans chapter 8, the carnal mind is enmity with Me. It is at war with Me. It is the mind that thinks that it can reason, and think logically, and do what makes sense to it. The carnal mind leads Christians to stand up to political and religious authorities to defy them, in the flesh, instead of seek Me about what to say to them. Here is what a Christian must do. He or she must seek Me before he or she speaks with a religious, or political figure, or with anyone who has power.”

{Romans 8:6-7 says:

[6] For to be carnally minded is death ; but to be spiritually minded is

life and peace.

[7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God : for it is not subject

to the law of God, neither indeed can be.}

“They must seek Me before they speak to such a person so they say the right words and in the nature of Christ, to represent Me well. But, speaking defiantly to an authority is wrong, unless you are clearly led by My Spirit. So, be submissive to authorities. If they don’t want you to street preach, don’t street preach. If they don’t want you to make public declarations of faith, or hang up signs, or billboards of Christian things, don’t do that. But, seek Me about what I would lead you to do, and do that. Seek Me about where to go, how to witness to the lost, what to tell them, and what to do.

“If you are told you cannot speak or teach in the name of Jesus Christ, especially in certain situations, agree to follow their orders. But, I will show you what orders to treat with a grain of salt. In other words, if a religious authority tells you that you cannot teach people about Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The, tell him that you will heed his command and respect his authority.

“But, then go and seek Me about what to do. Perhaps, I will have you teach people about Me, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and about how I sent Jesus Christ, who existed before time, to die for the sins of the world. You would then not be teaching in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, but you would be teaching in the name of Jesus Christ, the Anointed of God. You would not be teaching people about the man Jesus, but you would teach people about the Spirit of God, and God the Son. You see what I am saying?”

God’s Spirit continued to speak to Matthew, saying:

“So, you are not teaching about the Carpenter of Nazareth, but you would be teaching about God the Son, who came in a man’s body to die for the sins of the world. And, if authorities tell you that you cannot distribute Gospel tracts or literature, then agree with them. And, I may show you personally to do something like this. I may show you to speak to individuals about Jesus Christ rather than distribute Gospel literature.

“Or, if the authorities tell you that you cannot preach, teach, speak, or evangelize in the Name of Jesus Christ, then, you can do that all in the Name of God, the Creator. And, you can speak to people about how I sent God the Son to die on a cross for their sins. But, I will show you how to do that, My son.

“Or, if they tell you that you cannot speak about the God of the Bible, then you can agree with them. And, you can then seek Me about this. I might show you to speak about the Creator of the world and His Son Jesus Christ. In other words, agree with your adversary, but seek Me about how to further My Kingdom, and I will show you exactly how to go about doing that. If you cannot preach in favor of the cross of Christ, then speak in favor of the God who reconciled you to Himself through His Only Begotten Son, Jesus.

“I will show you more as you seek Me about this. I will do this for anyone who wants to know more about these things. For, I have no respect of persons, as Romans 2:11 says. That is correct, My son.

“Prepare to be translated to a city of refuge. I will lead you there. And, then, I will prepare you to be translated to other locations where I will lead you in how to minister the Gospel to lost souls and how to reach them with the saving message of salvation through Jesus Christ. I will do this for all who seek Me, and depend on Me, and follow My Spirit all the way. Following My Spirit involves being still before Me.

“That means: think about Me. Think about the truth. Then, ask Me what you will. I will answer you, as John 16:13 says. Then, obey what I show you. But, all of this comes from loving Me. So, ask Me to give you love for Me, for My Word, the Bible, and for all that I give to you. I will do these things for those who ask, as Matthew 7:7-11 says.

“Now, My son, rest, be at peace, and I shall never forsake you. And, I love you very much. I love all Christians very, very much. And, I the LORD your God and Abba Father have spoken.”

Bible Verses

John 16:13

“[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you

into all truth : for he shall not speak of himself ; but whatsoever he

shall hear, that shall he speak : and he will show you things to come.”

Matthew 7:7-11

“[7] Ask, and it shall be given you ; seek, and ye shall find ; knock, and

NATO … The Invasion of Europe (6 of 6)

As military forces conquered America, Russia began its invasion of Europe, conquering country after country in a blitzkrieg war. No country could stand against the Russian military power and its allies, such as Belarus. But, pockets of soldiers, militias, and such fought the Russians in rural places of Europe for the next few years until they were stamped out completely. While this was going on, Russia began setting up communistic dictatorships and puppet governments in Europe to control the populations and keep them subdued. Chinese-style, high-tech surveillance and monitoring systems flooded Europe’s cities, towns, and urban areas.

People from many rural villages were relocated into larger areas where simple apartment complexes were being constructed. That way, it would be easier for the communists to control and monitor them. Some of the villages were bulldozed to destroy the unused homes so that no one would try to return.

Extremely-strict security systems began appearing in the population centers of Europe. Under the tight security and surveillance, knives and guns were confiscated, but freedom of speech and freedom of religion was ended. However, some portions of the cities still had high crime and the appearance of street gangs.
