For many years people have been encountering strange beings that take on a variety of forms. They often appear at night or in the twilight and they behave in ways unlike any known animal. Some have feet that resemble human feet, only much larger. Others fly with bat-like wings. Many have red, glowing eyes. What are these creatures? Are they animals? Are they aliens? Are they spirits? Are they purely fictional? Or, are they something else entirely?

THE JERSEY DEVIL

For hundreds of years, a cryptid creature (or creatures) was (were) seen in the thick, mostly uninhabited forests of New Jersey, called the "pine barrens." It is a region of the state consisting of thickets, evergreen trees, ponds, and dense undergrowth. Strange creatures collectively called the "Jersey Devil" were reportedly seen by thousands of people for over 250 years in the state of New Jersey and mostly in the pine barrens.

For many years people have been encountering strange, tall beings that walk on two legs like a man and appear completely covered in thick hair or fur. Bizarrely, their feet resemble human feet, only much larger. What are these creatures? Are they animals? Are they aliens? Are they spirits? Are they purely fictional? Or, are they something else entirely?

In this article, we will relate a Bigfoot attack and look into the true nature of this creature.

SASQUATCH (BIGFOOT) SIGHTINGS 


Native Americans from British Columbia and throughout the United States have spoken of a mysterious, ape-like, man-like beast they call the Esti Capcaki, Atahsaia, Ot ne yar heh, and other names. But, the most well-known are sasquatch and Bigfoot.

The tall, hairy creature has been described by many people as being about 6 to 9 feet in height, weighing about 800 pounds (maximum), and walking on two feet ("Mysterious Ape ..."). It has been heard to let out a loud, chilling call. People have described it as being ape-like or man-like and covered in thick fur. 

Some sasquatch appear to be shy. But, others are more aggressive and have been known to throw stones at buildings, chase people, and vandalize cabins.

Attack in Vancouver Island

One night in 2004, Ted Story (or Ted Storey) was sleeping in his motor home in the densely-forested Strathcona Provincial Park, which is located in the middle of Vancouver Island. (Source: Monster Quest: Mysterious Ape Island.)

Regarding the sasquatch creature, Ted said: "I thought it was a myth or—[I] had no belief in any of that at all. That night, it made me a believer." ("Mysterious Ape ...")

He was woken from sleep by a sudden and unexpected event. Ted said: "All of a sudden, the motor home shook violently. It listed 30 degrees or so. I would anticipate that the tires just about came off the ground." Something large and having immense strength was rocking the motor home, standing right outside his window.

The days we are living in are very dark and serious. Jesus Christ is coming for a pure bride at His appointed time. If He were to come today, would you be ready to meet a Holy God and a righteous Judge? (Look at the end for how to get saved and have a relationship with Jesus Christ.)

When the floods of great waters (judgment) come, people who are not seeking God now will not be able to hear from God. "...they shall not come nigh unto him." These people shall not come near God because they are resisting God now like Pharaoh did when God called out to Pharaoh to repent and let God's people go. (See Exodus 8:25-32 and in other parts of Exodus.)]

Ezekiel 33:13 (bold added)

13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

The devil is seeking to destroy you. Don’t give in to his devices. Seek Me and repent. Forsake your sins and live. 

If you will not repent, I will come on you as a thief in the night and you will not be ready and you will be caught off guard and you will be destroyed.

Seek Me and you will find Me if you search for Me with all your heart. 

Know that the time is nigh, My people. The time is drawing close for My judgment to fall down on the wicked. Do not be caught in this judgment, My people. Seek Me and you will not be caught off guard.

Come to Me and turn from your sin. I am coming for a pure bride. Watch and pray and seek My face.

Body Piercing, Tattoos, and Marring the Body

The topic of body piercing and tattooing has gotten more popular in the last couple decades. Body piercing and getting tattoos are now trends that many young people are interested in. Lip rings, nose rings, bellybutton rings, gauges (for ears), tattoos, and such are in high demand among the youth but why are these so popular today? And, where did these practices originate?

Body piercing and getting tattoos are not new by any means. They have been around for thousands of years and were practiced by pagan cultures around the world. The Bible speaks of such practices during the days of Moses.

God told the Children of Israel (Hebrews) not to follow after the pagan practices of the people who would surround their small country. They were to be separate from the pagans because God wanted a pure and holy people for Himself.

In Leviticus 19:28, God says through Moses: “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.”

What is this practice of cutting the flesh for the dead and what 

did it signify?

Alexander Hislop, a historian, wrote this in his book, The Two Babylons (pg. 129): “Osiris was cut in pieces; therefore, to imitate his fate, so far as living men might do so, they were required to cut and wound their own bodies.” Hislop explained in the same book how Osiris was a god borrowed from the Assyrian / Babylonian god Nimrod (or Baal) (of Genesis 10) who was killed and his body was cut up into pieces (The Two Babylons, pp. 56-58). These pieces were sent to various places as a warning to those who served Nimrod and his idolatrous system.

After Nimrod was killed, his followers worshiped him as a god who was cut to pieces. To mourn his death and mutilation, they would cut bald patches in their hair, pierce themselves in various places, and cut themselves with sharp knives. They also printed marks in their skin (i.e. tattoos).

Herodotus wrote: "I have before related in what manner the rites of Isis are celebrated at Busiris. After the ceremonies of sacrifice the whole assembly [...] flagellate [or whip] themselves[...] The Carians of Egypt treat themselves at this solemnity with unparalleled severity; they cut themselves in the face with swords, and by this distinguish themselves from the Egyptian natives." (Herodotus, Volume 1.)

Hislop wrote of this practice of cutting the flesh and how it was practiced by Hindus, Romans, Egyptians, and others (The Two Babylons, pg. 129).

Besides cutting themselves with swords and whips, ancient people purposely mutilated their hair and beards for the same reason.
