Chapter Fifty

PART 50: ➤ "A Communist Attack in the Forest" // ➤ "The Underground Excursion"

Kostya Bortnik (a Russian), Evgeny and Nadia Yugov (Russians), Steve and Sarah O’Neill (Americans), and Jason Harper (an American) were traveling through a pine forest in southern Siberia and had gone a couple miles from Kostya’s underground bunker when the group of “underground” Christians had heard a distinct sound coming from the woodland undergrowth. Unbeknownst to them, their friend Alexei Khlebov (a Russian) had been captured by communist soldiers shortly after they had left the underground base. And, the communist red army of Russia was now searching in the woods for the Russian and American Christians, determined to either catch or kill them. It is a moonlit night in the southern Siberian forest.

Something had just stirred the dense, dark bushes a dozen yards from Steve. He turned to see what it was, and his eyes widened. A man in camouflage, equipped with grenades, ammo clips and other gear, was slowly pushing through the foliage. He wore a helmet with black optical equipment lowered over his eyes. The optics allowed him to see through foliage and detect animals or humans behind walls or obstructions. Nothing could prevent him from seeing his prey, except for a miracle of God, a lead wall, or a thick metal screen. And, there were no lead walls between the Christians and this soldier.

Corporal Mirov stepped into the small opening where the Christians were, raised his

AK-74M rifle to his shoulder, and said, “Raise your hands, now!”

For many years people have been encountering strange beings that take on a variety of forms. They often appear at night or in the twilight and they behave in ways unlike any known animal. THE JERSEY DEVIL

For hundreds of years, a cryptid creature (or creatures) was (were) seen in the thick, mostly uninhabited forests of New Jersey, called the "pine barrens." It is a region of the state consisting of thickets, evergreen trees, ponds, and dense undergrowth. Strange creatures collectively called the "Jersey Devil" were reportedly seen by thousands of people for over 250 years in the state of New Jersey and mostly in the pine barrens.

For many years people have been encountering strange, tall beings that walk on two legs like a man and appear completely covered in thick hair or fur. Bizarrely, their feet resemble human feet, only much larger. What are these creatures? Are they animals? Are they aliens? Are they spirits? Are they purely fictional? Or, are they something else entirely?

In this article, we will relate a Bigfoot attack and look into the true nature of this creature.

SASQUATCH (BIGFOOT) SIGHTINGS 


Native Americans from British Columbia and throughout the United States have spoken of a mysterious, ape-like, man-like beast they call the Esti Capcaki, Atahsaia, Ot ne yar heh, and other names. But, the most well-known are sasquatch and Bigfoot.

The tall, hairy creature has been described by many people as being about 6 to 9 feet in height, weighing about 800 pounds (maximum), and walking on two feet ("Mysterious Ape ..."). It has been heard to let out a loud, chilling call. People have described it as being ape-like or man-like and covered in thick fur. 

Some sasquatch appear to be shy. But, others are more aggressive and have been known to throw stones at buildings, chase people, and vandalize cabins.

Attack in Vancouver Island

One night in 2004, Ted Story (or Ted Storey) was sleeping in his motor home in the densely-forested Strathcona Provincial Park, which is located in the middle of Vancouver Island. (Source: Monster Quest: Mysterious Ape Island.)

Regarding the sasquatch creature, Ted said: "I thought it was a myth or—[I] had no belief in any of that at all. That night, it made me a believer." ("Mysterious Ape ...")

He was woken from sleep by a sudden and unexpected event. Ted said: "All of a sudden, the motor home shook violently. It listed 30 degrees or so. I would anticipate that the tires just about came off the ground." Something large and having immense strength was rocking the motor home, standing right outside his window.

“The Manhunt in a Siberian Forest”

- Russia -

Steve and Sarah O’Neill, Jason Harper, Kostya Bortnik, and Evegeny and Nadia Yugov were traveling through a forest outside of a logging town in southern Siberia. They had just left an underground bunker, which was owned by Kostya, after hearing from God that they needed to leave and travel to a different safe house. Unknown to them, their friend Alexei Khlebov was arrested by communist Russian soldiers. It is now late evening and the shadows are lengthening in the forest.

Snap! Snap! A sound came through the forest thirty yards* from Steve O’Neill’s left. Steve’s friends stopped in their tracks and listened to the forest as they held their breath. Turning to the left, Steve felt fear strike his heart.

[* Or about 27.43 meters.]

They were in an area of the evergreen forest where pine trees grew fairly close together and Siberian peashrub bushes appeared in dense patches throughout the woodland. The bushes, to the left, were so dense that Steve could not see what had made the snapping sounds, and the setting sun spread its fading light through the trees.

How Satan Is Like Joab in 2 Samuel 19 -- 
Applications from 2 Samuel 19

A short civil war erupted between men loyal to Absalom, a son of King David, and those loyal to his father. Absalom, using deceptive techniques, powerful public relations tricks, and charisma, drew many people in Israel into his goal of replacing King David with Absalom. David and many of his most loyal followers fled from Jerusalem and dwelt in the wilderness. 

Absalom sought counsel and then determined he would to fight against his father, and slay him. After King David crossed the Jordan river and entered a fortified city, Absalom, accompanied by thousands of armed men, crossed the river and attacked David's men in a forested region. 

The battle went poorly for Absalom and his men, and most of them were slaughtered or died due to falling into deep pits or chasms. Absalom, who had long hair, rode past an oak tree and his hair was ensnared in its branches. His mount, a mule, left him literally hanging. Joab, the captain of David's army, saw the king's son hanging in the tree and unable to escape. Ignoring David's orders not to kill Absalom, Joab brutally killed him in cold blood and Joab's armor bearers finished him off. It was not the first time Joab disregarded the king's wishes.
