Magic, spells, potions, wizards, witches, charms, incantations…these are the subject of many books, movies, and children’s books. Disney promotes witchcraft in their movies, TV shows, and theme parks. The rest of Hollywood promotes witchcraft through many movies each year to some degree.

People may argue that none of this is real witchcraft and that it is only make-believe or fantasy. Fairy tales and fantasy have a basis in reality. For instance, a witch in a fairy tale puts a spell on someone to make them sleep. Spells are used by real witches to get a person to be deceived or persuaded or to manipulate things for results that are “favorable” to the witch.

Bob Johnson, wrote a book promoting "magick" [different than magic tricks] for the business world. Johnson wrote this in the introduction:

“The tools of magick are spells, talismans (charms and objects), potions, rituals, and ceremonies. They are all used to achieve a desired result. For example, witchcraft has spells for obtaining money.... Witchcraft spells can get you that raise...” (Johnson.)

Real witches or warlocks (male witches) know that spells work, but these witches will not tell you that using witchcraft (including spells) comes with a great price. Galatians 5 talks about this.

Galatians 5:19-21 (bold / underline added)

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The people who practice witchcraft “shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” That is serious. God does not let witchcraft or witches into Heaven. If a witch turns from her or his witchcraft, and turns to Jesus Christ, then he or she will be saved from the snare of the devil and will be set free from sin. Then, he or she can enter Heaven as an adopted child of God.

God wants all people to be saved who can come to Him. God wants witches and wizards to leave witchcraft and sorcery and turn to Jesus Christ for salvation and repent from their sins.

Christians and witchcraft should never go hand in hand, but that is exactly what has happened over the past 17 years since the first Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, hit the bookshelves. This book and series still is widely popular since its first publication all those years ago. And many Christians, who had been deceived by prominent “Christian” teachers, pastors, and personalities, have given their kids Harry Potter books and movies.

The people on cuttingedge.org have exposed how Harry Potter books are real witchcraft meant to indoctrinate kids to accepting the satanic New World Order that the book of Revelation speaks about. Kids would wear inked-on lightning-bolt marks, Harry Potter glasses, points hats, and carry brooms. They became engrossed in huge books, ranging in size from 320 to 896 pages. The kids would often read them over and over again.

"The story of Harry Potter is an allegory: It is written and packaged to look like fantasy when, in truth, it is a carefully written true description of the training and work of an initiate in an occult order. Interestingly, Gavin and Yvonne Frost are in charge of a School of Wicca or witchcraft in the U.K., similar to what Professor Dumbledore has with Hogwarts. 



At the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter and his friends learn how to cast spells and they learn the real names of actual demons that real witches, alive today, work with.

The late Pastor David J. Meyer, who had left behind witchcraft to follow Jesus Christ, wrote:

I am writing this urgent message because I was once a witch. I lived by the stars as an astrologer and numerologist casting horoscopes and spells. […] By means of spells and magic, I was able to invoke the powers of the "controlling unknown" [….] Halloween was my favorite time of the year and I was intrigued and absorbed in the realm of Wiccan witchcraft. All of this was happening in the decade of the 1960’s when witchcraft was just starting to come out of the broom closet. […]

The first book of the series, entitled "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone", finds the orphan, Harry Potter, embarking into a new realm when he is taken to "Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." At this occult school, Harry Potter learns how to obtain and use witchcraft equipment. Harry also learns a new vocabulary, including words such as "Azkaban", "Circe", "Draco", "Erised", "Hermes", and "Slytherin"; all of which are names of real devils or demons. These are not characters of fiction!

These names kids read in Harry Potter books are the names of real demons and devils that real witches work with. These are real creatures that actually exist in a spiritual dimension. They rebelled against God and joined Lucifer (Satan) in his rebellion against God.

Demons have the power to possess people and have the power to plant thoughts and ideas into their minds. A number of murderers and felons have admitted hearing voices in their heads telling them to kill or telling them to do something bad. For instance, a man who drove his car into the Ten Commandments monument at the Oklahoma State Capital building said that he heard Satan, in his head, telling him to break the Ten Commandments monument (Hoberock).

God would never tell someone to literally break the Ten Commandments. God wants us to obey Him and obey His word. 1 Samuel 15 talks about this…

1 Samuel 15:22: “And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”

Harry Potter books teach disobedience to authorities. In the books, Harry Potter would lie, cheat, and disobey his authorities (Montenegro). He also possessed a strong desire for revenge and a strong hatred toward certain characters in the books (Montenegro). For instance, Harry deeply hates Professor Snape (Montenegro). He also lies to or deceives many people, including lying to his friend, Ron (Montenegro). This goes against God’s word.

Jesus Christ tells us to love our enemies.

Matthew 5:44: “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”

Jesus also told us…

Matthew 6:14-15

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

If we do not forgive others for the wrong they have done us, God the Father will not forgive us for our sins. A person who is not forgiven is a person who cannot enter Heaven.

Kids reading J.K. Rowling’s books are taught that lying is okay; that harboring un-forgiveness and bitterness is acceptable; and that disobedience is fine, if the end result is that “good” triumphs over “evil”. However, God’s word, The Bible, teaches this…

Proverbs 6:16-19 (underline added)

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

The person who lies is an abomination to God. God wants people to repent from this sin. God hates the spirit of rebellion. The prophet, Samuel, said this to King Saul, who had rebelled against God’s commandments and instructions:

1 Samuel 15:23: “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.”

God also hates witchcraft itself. It is a serious sin. Witchcraft is real and those who practice or partake in witchcraft need to repent. Exodus 22:18 says: “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.”

Revelation 21:8 says: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (underline / bold added)

God would prefer that all men repent and come to Jesus Christ, His Only Begotten Son, for salvation. 2 Peter 3:9 says: “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (bold added)

If you are reading any books or watching movies (or playing computer games or roleplaying games) that involve spells, incantations, curses, charms, witches, wizards, dwarves, elves, nymphs, magic, druids, runes, potions, magic wands, hexes, aliens / demons, mysticism, werewolves, vampires, covens, spell books, sorcery, or anything related, you need to repent to God and ask Him to forgive you.

Repenting is changing one’s mind and one’s ways, turning away from something. It means to stop what you were doing and to start doing the right thing which is obeying God and His word.

If you repent (turn away) from your sins (Acts 3:19), and believe and confess aloud that Christ has done this for you (Romans 10:9-10), and have made Him your Lord and Savior (again Romans 10:9-10) you are saved.

Now seek God with all your heart. Seek to know Him and you will (Jeremiah 29:13).

John 17:3: "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Jeremiah 29:13: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

John 14:6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Acts 4:12: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
