Rock Music -- Poison of the Devil (Heavy Metal. Rap. Techno. "Rock and Roll.") The Babylon Deception.

Rock Music: The Babylon Deception

        _______________________________________________________

Rock Music Promotes the Worship of Self and Rebellion

Rock music has been popular since the 1950s and had had an appeal to people of all cultures and ethnic groups around the world. Since the time Blues morphed into rock with the help of musicians such as Little Richard and Elvis Presley, Rock ‘n’ Roll has drawn in many millions of fans worldwide.

Rock performers have revealed some interesting information about Rock ‘n’ Roll that may shock you. The first fact they have revealed to us is that Rock music is about doing what you want to do. Listen to these quotes from Rock musicians and Rock lovers. (Note: emphasis is added to the quotes.)

“I’m free to do what I want any old time” (“I’m Free,” Rolling Stones, 1965).
It’s my life and I’ll do what I want/ It’s my mind, and I’ll think what I want” (The Animals, 1965).
“You got to go where you want to go/ do what you want to do” (Mamas and Papas, 1965).
“It’s your thing/ do what you want to do” (Isley Brothers, 1969).
The main purpose of rock and roll is celebration of the self” (Daryl Hall of Hall and Oates, interview with Timothy White, 1987, Rock Lives, p. 594).
“Rock music has got the same message as before. It is anti-religious, anti-nationalistic and anti-morality. But now I understand what you have to do. You have to put the message across with a little honey on it” (John Lennon, spoken not long before his death in 1980, Pop Goes the Gospel, p. 84).

John Lennon echoed an infamous saying by Satanist Aleister Crowley.

“The whole Beatles idea was to do what you want … do what thou wilst, as long as it doesn’t hurt somebody” (John Lennon, cited by David Sheff, The Playboy Interviews with John Lennon and Yoko Ono, p. 61).

A picture of Aleister Crowley is found on the cover of The Beatle’s Sergeant Pepper’s album. Crowley’s most infamous saying, “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law” is Satanic teaching which Anton LaVey, founder of The Church of Satan also taught (Stewart).

“...and he must, as a satanist, knowing this, realizing what his human potential is, eventually, and here is one of the essential points of satanism, attain his own godhead in accordance with his own potential. Therefore, each man, each woman is a god, or goddess in satanism.” (Anton LaVey, Church of Satan)

Satan, in the serpent, said the same thing to Eve, in Genesis 3.

Genesis 3:4-5
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

This lie that you will never die if you sin (or rebel against God), and that you will become a god to do your own will is a lie of Satan and is repeated in the Rock music industry. If you continue in sin you shall surely die. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death (see Romans 6:23 and Romans 6:16).

Pop musician Kanye West came out with a song recently titled, "I Am a God".

This echoes what many Rock fans and Rock stars say.

“The main purpose of rock and roll is celebration of the self” (Daryl Hall of Hall and Oates, interview with Timothy White, 1987, Rock Lives, p. 594).
“This is a story about control. My control. Control of what, I say? Control of what I do, and this time I’m gonna do it my way. … got my own mind. I want to make my own decision; when it has to do with my life, I want to be the one in control…” (Janet Jackson, “Control”).
“... the whole idea of rock 'n' roll is to offend your parents” (Rock drummer King Coffey, The Truth about Rock, p. 30).

Rock stars say Rock music is all about doing things their own way, as opposed to God’s way. What else is Rock music focused on?

Rock and Roll Produces Sexual Desire

In the late ‘40s and into the ‘50s “Blues” began to morph into what we call modern Rock and Roll.  An article in U.S. News & World from 1985 said: (Emphasis is added to the quotes.)

“‘Rock and roll,’ itself a bluesmusic term for sex, suggested rebellion and abandon as much as it did a new style of music when it first jarred adult sensibilities in the 1950s. ‘When you’re growing up,’ says Jerry Kramer, a prominent director of music videos, ‘you like rock and roll for one reason: Because your parents don’t’” (“What entertainers are doing to your kids,” U.S. News & World Report, October 28, 1985, page 47).

Jerry Rubin, a countercultural icon, wrote:

“Rock ‘n’ roll marked the beginning of the revolution. … We’ve combined youth, music, sex, drugs, and rebellion with treason, and that’s a combination hard to beat” (Jerry Rubin, Do It!, 1970, pp. 19, 249).

Other famous Rock artists said Rock ‘n’ Roll is about sex.

“Rock ‘n’ roll is 99% sex” (John Oates of the rock duo Hall & Oates, Circus, Jan. 31, 1976).
“Rock music is sex. The big beat matches the body’s rhythms” (Frank Zappa of the Mothers of Invention, Life, June 28, 1968).
“That’s what rock is all about--sex with a 100 megaton bomb, the beat!” (Gene Simmons of the rock group Kiss, interview, Entertainment Tonight, ABC, Dec. 10, 1987).
“Rock music is sex and you have to hit them [teenagers] in the face with it” (Andrew Oldham, manager of the Rolling Stones, Time, April 28, 1967, p. 54).

According to Frank Zappa and Gene Simmons (of Kiss) and others, the beat in Rock music is related to sexual desire. The late historian Allan Bloom wrote in his book The Closing of the American Mind:

But rock music has one appeal only, a barbaric appeal to sexual desire—not love, not eros, but sexual desire undeveloped and untutored. Rock gives children, on a silver platter, with all the public authority of the entertainment industry, everything their parents always used to tell them they had to wait for until they grew up and would understand later” (Allan Bloom, The Closing of the American Mind, New York: Simon and Schuster, 1987, p. 73).

The beat in Rock music did not originate with Rock music. It came hundreds of years earlier.

Rock Music is related to Voodoo

When African slaves were brutally captured and taken aboard slave ships for America, living in horrible conditions aboard the ships, they brought with them their music, part of their pagan religion. In Africa, drums are known to call up the spirits, known as the “gods” (Ventura).

Michael Ventura, a secular journalist, wrote of the Voodoo roots of Rock music in an article titled “Hear that Long Snake Moan”: (Emphasis is added to the quotes.)

"In Abomey, Africa, these deities that speak through humans are called vodun. The word means “mysteries.” From their vodun comes our “Voodoo.” And it is to Voodoo that we must look for the roots of our music [Rock and Roll]."
"The object of Voodoo ceremony is possession by the god."
"The Voodoo rite of possession by the god became the standard of American performance in rock’n’roll. Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, James Brown, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Jim Morrison, Johnny Rotten, Prince – they let themselves be possessed not by any god they could name but by the spirit they felt in the music. Their behavior in this possession was something Western society had never before tolerated. And the way a possessed devotee in a Voodoo ceremony often will transmit his state of possession to someone else merely by touching the hand, they transmitted their possession through their voice and their dance to their audience, even through their records."
The drums pounding away in Voodoo rituals are nearly identical to the drums of Rock music and both call up evil spirits that the pagans call “gods”.

Missionary Ivor Greenslade recounts his experience on the mission field in this transcript: (Emphasis is added to the quotes.)

“When we first came up here (from the mission field) and heard the Rock Music, when it first came out, my wife and I looked at each other and said this is something we have been hearing all along. This is nothing new to us. It sounds just like the jungle music
"I remember one furlough going back and we took some tapes out. Our children had slipped one of these contemporary Christian music tapes, Christian Rock. Shall we put it in quotation marks? Really there is no such thing as "Christian" Rock. Rock is rock and it is connected to Spiritism
"When our children played that tape, suddenly the brethren wanted to know why we were playing the music of the demons. They recognized it right away.
"All of this contemporary Christian music as they call it, the people who are in Animism recognize it right away as their demonism music. You will find that this [rock] music and Animism is the same in the Amazon Jungle as it is in North America. It is all related to Spiritism” (Brown).

If these former Animists (who became Christians) knew that Rock music is identical to their tribal, demon-summoning music, and if Rock artists understand that the beat is what produces sexual desire, then Rock music is not neutral as some people say (even if it is called "Christian Rock").

Rock music, with its power to create sexual pleasure, is worshiped around the world. Rock stars become the idols of many fans and the music brings in evil spirits to lure them away into the lusts of the flesh. Sexual perversion and immoral lifestyles are encouraged by Rock music, which has a religious following around the world.

Rock Music is a Religion

The Beatles first appeared to an American audience, on the Ed Sullivan Show, on February 9, 1964 (Spitz). Sixty percent of American with TV’s—a number unheard of before--watched The Beatles during that one live broadcast (Spitz) which would forever change America.

During that television concert, teen girls screamed with excitement and passion. The Beatles became America’s, and the world’s number one Rock band, which was worshipped with such religious fervor that on several occasions people ripped doorknobs off hotel doors that members of The Beatles had apparently touched (“Beatlemania.”).

During a tour in the Amsterdam canals, large crowds of people leapt into the canals attempting to reach the boat The Beatles rode on (“Beatlemania.”).  Even more insane, a British girl attempted to mail herself to The Beatles in a box labeled “Presents for The Beatles” (“Beatlemania.”).

The worship The Beatles received during their “hay day” is a sign of the spiritual nature of Rock music. Rock performers defend Rock music as being a kind of religion.

Blackie Lawless of W.A.S.P. said: “I look at Rock like a religion” (Blackie Lawless of W.A.S.P., Faces, Feb. 1985, p. 53). (Emphasis added)

Michael Moynihan, a Rock ‘n’ Roll historian, said: “In spiritual terms music is a magical operation, a vehicle for man to communicate with the gods. Depending on whom the celebrants invoke, this can mean soaring to heaven on the voices of angels or raising beasts from the pits of hell” (Lords of Chaos: The Bloody Rise of the Satanic Metal Underground, p. 1). (Emphasis added)

Judas Priest, a heavy metal band, was asked about their reason for calling one of their albums “Defenders of the Faith.” They replied, “We’re defending the faith of heavy metal music” (The Rock Report, p. 10). They said: “Heavy metal isn’t just music to us. It’s a philosophy and a way of life” (Judas Priest, Hit Parader, July 1984). (See "Rock Music as Religion.") (Emphasis added)

Jimi Hendrix, a famous Rock star, said, “We’re making the music into electric church music, a new kind of bible you can carry in your hearts” (Jimi Hendrix, quoted in Crosstown Traffic by Charles Murray, p. 161). (Emphasis added)

Craig Chaquico, a famous guitarist, said, “Rock concerts are the churches of today. Music puts them on a spiritual plane. All music is God” (Craig Chaquico, Jefferson Airplane guitarist, Why Knock Rock?, p. 96). (Emphasis added)

The Call to Leave the World and Repent

Jesus Christ said this in Luke 16:13: “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Emphasis added)

Luke 16 goes on to say, "[14] And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. [15] And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God." (Emphasis added)

God’s Word says:

Romans 6:16

16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Romans 6:12

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

1 John 2:15-17 (Emphasis added)

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Proverbs 14:12

12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Galatians 6:7-8

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Psalm 37:27

27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

IF YOU ARE SEEKING TO KNOW GOD, please read this message.

God loves us so much that He sent His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and shed His precious blood to pay for all of these sins (and has risen from the dead).

If you repent (turn away) from your sins (Acts 3:19), and believe and confess aloud that Christ has done this for you (Romans 10:9-10), and have made Him your Lord and Savior (again Romans 10:9-10) you are saved. Now seek God with all your heart. Seek to know Him and you will (Jeremiah 29:13).

John 17:3 says: "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

God said this in Jeremiah 29:13: “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Emphasis added)
