This is a word from God that is framed in a story format. Wherever a quote is attributed to God, it truly is a word from God. (Please seek God about this if you are wondering.) The characters taking part in the story are fictional, but the nature of the story is very realistic according to prophecies God has given in recent times. These prophecies do not hold the same weight as the Bible itself, but the Spirit of God reveals truth through the Holy Bible to those who seek Him.

Numbers 33:51-52 – "[51] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan ; [52] then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places :"

Comment: God commanded the children of Israel to destroy all the graven images, and all the idols, and all the images of false gods depicted on walls. Today, in America, and around the world, movies, TV shows, and other videos display entertainment and steal time from God. Today, entertainment takes a huge amount of time out of people’s schedules. It is a god that people serve around the world.

Psalm 101:3 – "[3] I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes : I hate the work of them that turn aside ; it shall not cleave to me."

Comment: The psalmist declared that he would not look at anything beliyaal (i.e. evil, worthless, unprofitable, naughty, ungodly, or wicked). The Hebrew word, in this verse, for wicked is (Strong’s # 1100) beliyaal. It means: “… without profit, worthlessness; … wickedness … Belial, evil, naughty, ungodly …, wicked.” (From: Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance.) If what we are watching or viewing is beliyaal, we must turn it off and repent.

DuckTales [1987] was a popular cartoon show for children in the late '80s. It premiered on September 18, 1987, and the last episode was aired on May 6, 1990 ("DuckTales (1987)"). Last year, it was rebooted as a new show, DuckTales [2017], with all new episodes, and aired on Disney XD. Like many Disney cartoons and movies, DuckTales promotes magic and sorcery. We will see how the magic and sorcery seen in the DuckTales cartoon shows are just animated versions of what real witches use today. Also, the DuckTales reboot from 2017 contains magic and sorcery, like its predecessor.

The Batman franchise had its beginning in 1939 when Bob Kane came up with what he called "the Bat-Man." This character and the Batman franchise has impacted the globe and has raked in many billions of dollars of retail and movie ticket sales. Children around the world enjoy playing with Batman toys, reading Batman comics, and watching Batman cartoons and movies. But, are the Batman character and his adventures innocent entertainment? Or, do they bring across a dark message?

Let's look at the Batman character. Interestingly, Dennis O'Neil (a writer and former editor of DC Comics) said: "His [Batman's] iconography is that of a demon." (See "The Replacement..." in Works Cited | 52:00). 

The Original Batman Design - A Winged Bat-Man

According to The Steranko History of Comics by Jim Steranko:

... Bob Kane created "the Bat-Man." Collaborator Bill Finger recalled "Kane had an idea for a character called 'Batman', and he'd like me to see the drawings. I went over to Kane's, and he had drawn a character who looked very much like Superman with kind of ... reddish tights, I believe, with boots ... no gloves, no gauntlets ... with a small domino mask, swinging on a rope. He had two stiff wings that were sticking out, looking like bat wings. And under it was a big sign ... BATMAN.' [End quote.] (See "DC Comics Encyclopedia.")

Kane's original artwork of a man with bat-like wings strangely resembles bizarre sightings of a mysterious, bat-like, humanoid creature, which were seen years later. But, unlike Kane's original "Bat-Man," these winged creatures were entirely black in color.

There are many people who say that the Church in America will experience a revival and that this country will become great again. They give evidence that Donald Trump is a man for the hour who is supposed to build up this country and restore it to greatness, and wealth, and influence on the world stage. But, will this country really become great again? And, can the Church experience a revival without having true repentance first?

A Jerusalem Post article from January 24, 2018 reported that John Kerry had visited with Palestinian officials. 

The article, by Ben Caspit, was titled: "KERRY TO ABBAS CONFIDANTE: 'STAY STRONG AND DO NOT GIVE IN TO TRUMP'". The article mentioned how John Kerry "... said that within a year there was a good chance that Trump would not be in the White House."

Here is an interesting excerpt from the Jerusalem Post article:

'While the White House has confirmed that since the Jerusalem Declaration there has been a complete disconnect between the Palestinian Authority and the Trump administration, it turns out that the previous administration has maintained contact with PA officials.
...

'During the conversation, according to the report, Kerry asked Agha to convey a message to Abbas and ask him to “hold on and be strong.” Tell him, he told Agha, “that he should stay strong in his spirit and play for time, that he will not break and will not yield to President [Donald] Trump’s demands."

Now posthumously famous around the world, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis have had a huge impact on our modern culture. Many video games, fantasy novels, and role-playing games (including Dungeons and Dragons) have been strongly influenced by The Lord of the Rings [A]. Gary Gygax, the maker of Dungeons and Dragons, originally incorporated story elements from Lord of the Rings before changing these when the game was sold to the public [A]. Tolkien, Lewis, and other Oxford professors and writers, together, formed a small group known as the "Inklings." They would meet together to discuss literature and read aloud their fiction manuscripts. We will now look at one "Inkling" in particular.

A man you may not have heard of befriended J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, and played an important a role in influencing their writing. His name was Charles Williams, an esoteric author of novels, poems, and nonfiction works. What makes him an interesting character is his fascination with the occult. At the age of about 30, Williams joined a secret society that focused on occult rituals, ‘magick,’ and gnostic teachings.

Humphrey Carpenter wrote about Williams’s initiation (in 1917) into an esoteric, secret society called the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn [B]. From Carpenter’s book, The Inklings: C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien and Their Friends, we read:

"Among its first initiates was a coroner who allegedly performed necromantic rites... while another early member was black magician Aleister Crowley, the self styled Great Beast.... But the Order of the Golden Dawn also included persons of less outlandish ways, such as W. B. Yeats, … A. E. Waite ....  It was this group that Williams joined.” [B.] [End quote]

In this article, we will look at some of the symbols and messages

in some of Tolkien's LOTR books and writings. We will see if they are occultic, or not. 

We'll look at the "Doors of Durin", the White Tree of Gondor, Gandalf's true identity as

one of the Istari, and more.

Many have researched into occult aspects of various books and movies. Some have pointed out actual witchcraft portrayed for entertainment in fictional books and movies, such as Star Wars and Harry Potter. The occult world is very active in these days in which we live. But, are J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings novels free of anything occultic? Or, do they include occult themes and symbols?

To answer those questions, we’ll start with an important character in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Gandalf is a wizard who demonstrates magical power through spells and by use of his staff. But, according to J.R.R. Tolkien, Gandalf is not a human being. Tolkien described Gandalf in this way:

“But G. [sic] is not, of course, a human being (Man or Hobbit). There are naturally no precise modern terms to say what he was. I wd. [sic] venture to say that he was an incarnate 'angel'... that is, with the other Istari, wizards, 'those who know', an emissary from the Lords of the West, sent to Middle-earth, as the great crisis of Sauron loomed on the horizon. By 'incarnate' I mean they [the Istari / wizards] were embodied in physical bodies capable of pain, and weariness, and of afflicting the spirit with physical fear, and of being 'killed', though supported by the angelic spirit they might endure long, and only show slowly the wearing of care and labour. ...” [A.] [End quote] (underline added)

Tolkien described Gandalf (and the other the Istari wizards) as having a physical body that suffers from weariness and pain, but that is controlled by an angelic spirit. Thus, Gandalf was an “incarnate angel”. Half man, half angel creatures are found in Genesis chapter 6.

Harry Potter began in 1997 and became a global phenomenon. It spawned eight Hollywood films, many toys, and a greater interest in kids for the occult (esoteric or “hidden knowledge”). But, we ask: ‘Is it pretend magic, or is it real witchcraft that J.K. Rowling is teaching through her books?’

We’ll start with the pointy, wizard hats that can be found throughout Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and other fantasy stories.

The Pointy Hat or the Wizard Hat

Witches have been associated with pointy hats for a few hundred years. The origin of the pointy, wizard hat, some archeologists and historians now believe, comes from pointy, gold objects from the Bronze Age. These metal objects were fashioned with astrological symbols and were believed, by some historians, to be worn by people known as “king-priests.” They were thought to be both a type of wizard and a political leader. And, their hats were believed to help them predict the movement of the sun and stars. [A.]

In Harry Potter books and films, the students at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry occasionally wear pointy hats. But, some of the teachers wear them often. One such person is Minerva McGonagall.

Ghosts appear in Harry Potter’s Hogwarts school. They lurk in the old grounds of this school of witchcraft and wizardry. They also communicate with Harry and his classmates.

One ghost, called Nearly Headless Nick, told Harry Potter these words: “I know nothing of the secrets of death, Harry, for I chose my feeble imitation of life instead.” [A.]

Harry Potter is being taught to be a wizard; to talk with spirits; how to cast spells; and to use magic for “good” purposes. But, all of these things are forbidden in God’s Word, the Bible, in Deuteronomy 18.

The Lord of the Rings Exposed - The Magic Mirror and the "Palantir" Exposed (SHORT VERSION)

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I am writing this article about The Lord of the Rings to encourage you to seek God about this topic -- to seek God about what He wants you to know regarding The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books. Are they full of magic that real witches and wizards use, or are they just fantasy stories that are harmless? Is Gandalf, the wizard character, redeemable, or not?

We will focus on two items in this article that you may not be aware of.

The Magic Mirror or Pool of Galadriel

In The Fellowship of the Ring, Galadriel, an elf lady, takes some people to view a magic pool. There, Samwise Gamgee (a hobbit) gazes into the magic pool and magically sees events happening far away (allegedly). Tolkien writes:

“Down a long flight of steps …. At the bottom, ... stood a basin of silver, wide and shallow, and beside it stood a silver ewer.

With water from the stream Galadriel filled the basin to the brim, ... she spoke. `Here is the Mirror of Galadriel,' she said. 'I have brought you here so that you may look in it, if you will.'

.... 'What shall we look for, and what shall we see?' asked Frodo, filled with awe.

`Many things I can command the Mirror to reveal,' she answered, `and to some I can show what they desire to see. But the Mirror will also show things unbidden, … and more profitable than things which we wish to behold. …. For it shows things that were, and things that are, things that yet may be. …. Do you wish to look?'" [A.] [End quote]

The magic pool or mirror of Galadriel is no different that a mirror for divination, or a scrying mirror (or pool). Scrying mirrors are sold online and in witchcraft shops. The practice of gazing into a magic mirror or pool is used for divination, or gaining hidden knowledge. God forbids divination in Deuteronomy 18 and throughout the Bible. God said through Moses: “There shall not be found among you any one that ... or that useth divination,....” (Deuteronomy 18:10).

But, divination is not only practiced and promoted in The Fellowship of the Ring. A crystal ball is used in The Two Towers.

In The Two Towers, Gandalf obtained a crystal ball (called a “Palantir”) from a wizard’s tower (Isengard), after Gandalf had defeated Saruman, an “evil” wizard. One night, Pippin stole the crystal ball to look into it. The hobbit gazes into its black depths until he sees images appearing. He hears a voice speaking to him, in his mind. It is Sauron, an “evil” wizard, who runs the evil country of Mordor.

Tolkien writes:

C.S. Lewis claimed to be a Christian, but does his fruit show it? What themes and beliefs do Lewis' Narnia books promote? In this article, we will look at a few excerpts from some of his Narnia stories. What messages do they tell us, and what are they teaching children?

The "Deep Magic"

We start with a scene from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. After Edmund betrays his family and friends to the White Witch, he felt bad about what he did. Aslan, the lion, sends a rescue party to snatch Edmund out of the witch's hands. Aslan then confronts the witch over her right to hold Edmund under her power. C.S. Lewis writes:

[The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe]

"Have you forgotten the Deep Magic?" asked the Witch.

"Let us say I have forgotten it," answered Aslan gravely. "Tell us of this Deep Magic."

"Tell you?" said the Witch, her voice growing suddenly shriller. "Tell you what is written on that very Table of Stone which stands beside us? Tell you what is written in letters deep as a spear is long on the trunk of the World Ash Tree? Tell you what is engraved on the sceptre of the Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea? You at least know the magic which the Emperor put into Narnia at the very beginning. You know that every traitor belongs to me as my lawful prey and that for every treachery I have a right to a kill." [A.]

Notice that this law set up by the "Emperor-Beyond-the-Sea" (who is supposed to be God the Father) is called "magic"? In Prince Caspian, we learn that Aslan is the son of the Emperor-over-Sea. Lewis writes: "And if Aslan himself comes, ... he is the son of the great Emperor-over-Sea, ...." [B.]. C.S. Lewis said that Aslan was a type of Christ [C.]. For this "Father God" character to use magic goes against God's own holy Word, the Bible. Deuteronomy 18 says...

Deuteronomy 18:9-11 (underlining added)

"[9] When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. [10] There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, [11] Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

The Magic Spell Book

But, Aslan promotes occult magic to the children reading the Narnia books. From The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, we have this short dialogue between Aslan and Lucy. Lucy had just used a magic spell book to cast a spell to turn everything that is invisible visible. As you read, pay attention to how Lewis describes the spell book to his young audience (i.e. curious children). C.S. Lewis writes:
