For many years people have been encountering strange beings that take on a variety of forms. They often appear at night or in the twilight and they behave in ways unlike any known animal. Some have feet that resemble human feet, only much larger. Others fly with bat-like wings. Many have red, glowing eyes. What are these creatures? Are they animals? Are they aliens? Are they spirits? Are they purely fictional? Or, are they something else entirely?

THE JERSEY DEVIL

For hundreds of years, a cryptid creature (or creatures) was (were) seen in the thick, mostly uninhabited forests of New Jersey, called the "pine barrens." It is a region of the state consisting of thickets, evergreen trees, ponds, and dense undergrowth. Strange creatures collectively called the "Jersey Devil" were reportedly seen by thousands of people for over 250 years in the state of New Jersey and mostly in the pine barrens.

For many years people have been encountering strange, tall beings that walk on two legs like a man and appear completely covered in thick hair or fur. Bizarrely, their feet resemble human feet, only much larger. What are these creatures? Are they animals? Are they aliens? Are they spirits? Are they purely fictional? Or, are they something else entirely?

In this article, we will relate a Bigfoot attack and look into the true nature of this creature.

SASQUATCH (BIGFOOT) SIGHTINGS 


Native Americans from British Columbia and throughout the United States have spoken of a mysterious, ape-like, man-like beast they call the Esti Capcaki, Atahsaia, Ot ne yar heh, and other names. But, the most well-known are sasquatch and Bigfoot.

The tall, hairy creature has been described by many people as being about 6 to 9 feet in height, weighing about 800 pounds (maximum), and walking on two feet ("Mysterious Ape ..."). It has been heard to let out a loud, chilling call. People have described it as being ape-like or man-like and covered in thick fur. 

Some sasquatch appear to be shy. But, others are more aggressive and have been known to throw stones at buildings, chase people, and vandalize cabins.

Attack in Vancouver Island

One night in 2004, Ted Story (or Ted Storey) was sleeping in his motor home in the densely-forested Strathcona Provincial Park, which is located in the middle of Vancouver Island. (Source: Monster Quest: Mysterious Ape Island.)

Regarding the sasquatch creature, Ted said: "I thought it was a myth or—[I] had no belief in any of that at all. That night, it made me a believer." ("Mysterious Ape ...")

He was woken from sleep by a sudden and unexpected event. Ted said: "All of a sudden, the motor home shook violently. It listed 30 degrees or so. I would anticipate that the tires just about came off the ground." Something large and having immense strength was rocking the motor home, standing right outside his window.

In a world of animated creatures, "epic" battles, and "sci-fi" drama, we find our kids' imaginations drawn into the surreal, make-believe world of TV cartoons. One in particular has grown to such popularity that it has existed for over a decade (12 years since 2005) and has gained fans around the world. Its franchise has gained billions of dollars in sales worldwide. This popular cartoon show airing on Cartoon Network is Ben 10.

The show is not the only popular aspect about this franchise. Ben 10 toys are very popular with many children, even breaking sales records [1]. The Ben 10 franchise gained over $4.5 billion dollars in retail sales worldwide [2].

So, why should this cartoon be concerning? If you are a parent, you need to know what your children are watching and what the TV is teaching them. If you happen to enjoy cartoon shows yourself, I ask you to stay with me and take a few minutes to read the article below. Cartoons and TV shows do affect what we believe about the world in which we live, and what we consider to be morally right or wrong.

In the Ben 10 universe and in other cartoon shows (such as Dragon Ball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokemon), aliens, magic powers, spells, shape-shifting, levitation, astral projection, channeling power, clairvoyance, telepathy, talismans, and magic amulets are promoted and used to drive the plots forward. All these items are themes and objects found in books on the occult and sorcery that real witches and warlocks claim to work with.

In the Ben 10 universe, Ben Tennyson, the "hero," has a special band (the "Omnitrix") attacked to his arm which gives him special powers to shape-shift or morph into alien entities of various types.

The basic plot of Ben 10

At age 10, Ben Tennyson and his cousin Gwen (age 10) go on a summer camping trip with their Grandpa Max Tennyson. In a grove of trees, Ben finds a strange capsule and a watch-like device, called the Omnitrix. To his surprise, it attaches itself to his wrist somehow. This magical device happens to belong to alien entities. One alien entity in particular, called Vilgax, wants to take this device for himself. He is the main villain in this cartoon. Ben finds that his Omnitrix arm band can trans-morph (or shape-shift) him into various alien creatures. With these magical powers, Ben fights against "evil" aliens and evil people [3].

His cousin Gwen has access to a magic spell book and uses magical powers and spells throughout the Ben 10 seasons. Gwen stole this magic spell book from a character called "Charmcaster."
