The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (or “Jehovah’s
Witnesses”, or JWs) was started by Charles Taze Russell during the 19th
century. Spreading across more than 230 countries, the JW religion now has over
7 million members (1). JWs go door-knocking in many cities of America, inviting
people to attend a Bible study or JW meeting. This article will expose truth that the “Jehovah’s
Witnesses” don’t want you to know about their religion.

1. False Prophecies of the
“Jehovah’s Witnesses”
The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society was started by Charles
Taze Russell and has its roots in the International Bible Students'
Association, which Russell founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1872 (1).
Charles T. Russell thought of himself as some kind of prophet
and he predicted that Jesus Christ would visibly appear in 1914. This was not
the only false prediction he and other “Jehovah’s Witnesses” (JWs) made.
The JW founder wrote in the 1908 edition of his book The Time
is At Hand:

The JWs continued making prophecies after Charles T.
Russell’s death. This prophecy comes from the 1917 edition of The Finished
Mystery:
"And the mountains were not
found. Even the republics will disappear in the fall of 1920. And the mountains
were not found. Every kingdom of earth will pass away, be swallowed up in
anarchy." (The Finished Mystery, 1917 edition, p. 258)
In 1918, the Watchtower Society predicted that in 1925…
"Therefore we may confidently
expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful
prophets of old, particularly those named by the Apostle in Hebrews 11, to the
condition of human perfection." (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, p.
89)
There are more false prophecies that the Watchtower Society
has made over the years. None of them have ever come to pass. Deuteronomy 18
talks about this very thing.
Deuteronomy 18:20-22
20 But the prophet, which shall
presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or
that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21 And if thou say in thine heart,
How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the
name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing
which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously:
thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Jesus Christ also speaks about this topic.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate:
for wide is the gate, and broad is the
way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and
narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but
inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or
figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast
into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
