Deceptions in the Charismatic Movement (False Signs Vs. True Signs)

The Charismatic Movement was birthed by the Spirit of God, but over the years some deception has crept in, and tried to choke out the work of God’s Spirit. Ecumenism, in the form of incorporating Catholic doctrines or beliefs into Evangelical Christianity, has produced dangerous heresies.

The Catholic Church for centuries persecuted Bible-believing Christians, burning them at the stake and persecuting them in various ways. Many Catholics believe that Mary is a “Co-Redemptrix” or has a special role in the redemption of man. They also believe that Mary and Jesus mediate grace together, and some call Mary a “Mediatrix.” Mary’s alleged role as a mediator with Christ is taught in Catholic dogma [A.]. Catholics believe (in their doctrine) that Jesus is not the only mediator for the souls on earth.

The Vatican’s official website says:

"This motherhood of Mary in the order of grace continues uninterruptedly from the consent which she loyally gave at the Annunciation and which she sustained without wavering beneath the cross, until the eternal fulfillment of all the elect. Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation . . . . Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix." [A.] [End quote]

But, the Bible says ...

1 Timothy 2:5. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”

A statement that Benny Hinn made in a youtube video agrees closely with the Catholic belief in “transubstantiation.” Benny Hinn, a popular Charismatic leader, teaches the falsehood that the Lord’s Supper or communion is not symbolic. That is why, he says, he believes that “more” Catholics are healed, during their mass, than people in Pentecostal churches.

The New World Order is an expression many have heard about since before the days of George Bush, Sr. when he repeatedly spoke of a “New World Order.” In an address before Congress on September 11, 1990, Bush said:

"Today that new world is struggling to be born, a world quite different from the one we've known. A world where the rule of law supplants the rule of the jungle. A world in which nations recognize the shared responsibility for freedom and justice." (1).

In the name of establishing “the rule of law” the globalists tried to justify creating a global order under the control of a central government. This was prophesied to happen in the book of Revelation (such as in Rev. 13).

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

The beast and the false prophet of Revelation 13 are world leaders that shall arise and lead the world to worship the beast (commonly known as the Antichrist); to receive a mark; and to live in a New World Order. People who refuse the mark will be beheaded if they are caught (see Revelation 20:4).

This New World Order is the same “order” that is being promoted today through the TV, in movies, in video games, in books, in cartoon shows, and in many other worldly avenues. There is almost nothing popular that does not promote it. Even clothing brands promote the New World Order. The “OBEY” clothing line features Illuminati (or occult) symbols which promote the occult through the symbolism (2). One shirt in the “OBEY” brand features an all-seeing eye above a triangle, together with a square and compass of Freemasonry (2).

With over a billion adherents and an incalculable amount of wealth, the Roman Catholic Church is one of the largest and wealthiest religions in the world. Its followers can be found all around the world and its influence has been felt in nearly every country since ancient times. The Catholic Church teaches many "doctrines" which cannot be found in the Bible. This article will compare four of them with the Bible. We will see how they contradict the Bible.

1. The Sacrifice of the Mass (Eucharist)

The Catholic Church teaches that every Catholic must partake of the Eucharist (round wafers and wine or grape juice), during the Mass, in order to be saved.

"The Eucharist is necessary for salvation, to be received either sacramentally or in desire." (The Question and Answer Catholic Catechism, Q. 1217.) (Bold added)

Catholics believe that the round wafers and wine of the Eucharist transform into Christ’s actual physical body and blood: literal flesh and blood.

"After the consecration, nothing remains of the bread and wine except their external properties. Their substance becomes the living body and blood of Christ." (The Question and Answer Catholic Catechism, Q. 1225.) (Bold added)

"The Eucharist is a sacrament which really, truly, and substantially contains the body and blood, soul, and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ under the appearances of bread and wine. It is the great sacrament..." (The Question and Answer Catholic Catechism, p. 244, Q. 1212.) (Bold added)

But, what does the Bible teach about this subject? Romans 6 addresses this topic.

Romans 6:6-11 (Emphasis added)

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus Christ “died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.” Jesus does not die all over again each time someone takes part of the Eucharist. His sacrifice at the Cross of Calvary was done one time to pay for all the sins of the world. Hebrews 10 explains…

Hebrews 10:3-10

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Notice verse 10? The Holy Spirit, through the writer of Hebrews says that Christians “are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” This offering of the body of Jesus Christ is again not many times during many Masses, but “once for all”. 

Hebrews 10:14-18

14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Jesus Christ was offered up “once for all”. Verse 18 says, “Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.” To teach otherwise contradicts the Bible, God’s Holy Word.

Today, God had me read Revelation Chapter 3. God then had me write these messages down. I tested with 1 John 4:1-4 and got confirmed that these are God's words. Please seek God about this and pray. May God lead you to the truth as you seek Him with all your heart.   

These messages are for three different types of churches that exist today. They are God's words, not mine.

The Message to the [Modern] Church of Sardis [Churches or Christians resembling Sardis] 

After I read the part of Revelation 3 addressed to Sardis, God had me write this down. God said:

"I am the LORD your God and I have seen your works that you are not pleasing to Me. I shall come swiftly and bring My judgment upon you, for you have corrupted yourselves with your idols.  

You have gone after the way of Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness and taught the children of Israel to sin and commit idolatry and fornication.  

I have not found you faithful and I shall judge you swiftly.  

I, the LORD your God, have spoken."

After I read the part of Revelation 3 addressed to Philadelphia, God had me write this down. God said:

"I am the LORD your God and I love you who are doing My will. I have a special plan for each 

one of you. I am working to draw you closer to Me because I want to have an intimate relationship with you, My children.  

I want you to know that I have great rewards in store for those who are faithful to Me. I love you very much and I, the LORD your God, have spoken."

The Message to the [Modern] Church of Laodicea [Churches or Christians resembling Laodicea]

After I read the part of Revelation 3 addressed to Laodicea, God had me write this down. God said:

"I am the LORD your God, the Eternal One, the Creator of the Universe. I am calling out to you, My little ones, to repent. You must choose who you will serve, whether you will serve baal or Me. You cannot serve both. Either you will love one and hate the other or else you will hold to one and despise the other: you cannot serve God and mammon.  

Be zealous therefore and repent. I am coming quickly and I am bringing My reward with Me. And, I am bringing My reward with Me which I shall give to those who are faithful. And, I am bringing My reward which I shall give to those who are unfaithful and they shall be judged with eternal fire which is unquenchable.  

  

The Faithful and True has spoken."
