This is a short story about a young man named Steven who was given dreams
from God that reveal truth God has shown me (the writer) that His Church needs
to hear. Though this is written as fiction, the words spoken by Jesus are actual words
that God showed me. So, this is not just a fictional work. It applies to our current
world and to the Church. I encourage you to seek God about this to find out what He

Chapter 11
The
Attack
Steve
was translated or moved quickly to
a spot about three hundred feet above coastal water. A few miles away, the
sandy beach of the California coast appeared. Palm trees swayed in the sea
breeze and some sailboats plied through the water. The sun caused the sea to
sparkle as it rolled up and down in a perpetual undulation. Then, Steve looked
directly below him and saw a large, dark shape below the surface of the ocean
crawl to a stand-still. It looked like a huge whale, but this was much larger
than a whale. Now, Jesus took Steve down toward the water.
“My son, you won’t because
this is a vision,” Jesus said.
Steve descended through the
water and saw small fish darting here and there, in a frenzy. The dark shape of
a conning tower loomed off to his left, and the hull of a large submarine drew
closer. He was somehow able to see the inside of the submarine without being
physically present. A flurry of activity had been set in motion within the
submarine. Men spoke in Russian, giving orders and acknowledging orders. [See the "Note" at the end.]
Steve somehow understood that
orders had reached the submarine from top-ranking military officials, who
themselves had been given orders from the highest visible authority in the
Russian government. Officers were moving about from one control panel to
another, overseeing a complex procedure. Lighted buttons were being pressed by
crew members while the commanding officer and executive officer gave orders.
Steve lost track of what
happened next, but he felt the submarine begin to shake. Suddenly, he was moved
up through the submarine and into the water above its launch tubes. A hatch
flew open and a missile blasted through the water, churning it up as it rocketed
skyward. A second hatch opened, followed by a third. The water churned and
boiled as missiles blasted up through the depths. Steve was drawn up through
the water and into the air above the sea. Exhaust trails snaked through the
air, coming from the ocean surface directly above the nuclear submarine.
Then, Steve was moved
forward, and accelerated, up into the atmosphere, to an incredible speed of
180,000 miles per hour. The continental United States passed by in a blur of
colors. In seconds, Steve saw California and the arid Great Basin of Nevada,
zip by. The Great Plains and the Midwest with its farm fields, deciduous
forests, and sprawling cities raced by. In seconds, the New England states
appeared.
Steve slowed to a stop and
tried to see where he was at. He could not tell exactly what state it was, but
he could now see a large military base spread out below him, about a hundred
feet beneath him. Suburban neighborhoods that seemed to stretch out from a city
center reached up to the perimeter of the military base. Steve was not familiar
with military bases or their locations, but he could tell it was a significant
installation.
Something made him think to
look up, and as he did, Steve noticed a white line of smoke appear in the blue
sky above. It was an exhaust trail from a missile. He knew all too well what it
was. In seconds, it descended toward the base and detonated into a blinding
flash of light and smoke about eighty feet above the ground. A deafening
explosion pulsed through the air, following a powerful shock wave that knocked
buildings over as if they were toys.
Vehicles flipped like paper
models in a strong wind, scores of feet from the blast. Windows shattered
farther away. People were instantly vaporized near ground zero. In seconds, most
of the base was reduced to rubble. The stone buildings that still stood were
missing windows that faced ground zero. A huge column of dust, ash, and debris
rose up into the atmosphere and began to enfold on itself into an iconic
mushroom cloud. Steve knew that if he had been there in real life, he would be
fried.
A second exhaust trail
appeared in the sky, and a missile rushed toward the earth faster than a
bullet. It detonated above the city center and pulverized the downtown area in
a bright ball of heat, high pressure, and intense radiation. A powerful boom
shook the air seconds later. The destruction was awful and shocking. It was as
if a small star had crashed into the earth. Steve couldn’t comprehend why the
Russians had launched the missiles. [See the "Note" at the end.]
As he thought on this, he
noticed a second cloud of radioactive dust, ash, and super-hot air that was
ascending into the atmosphere. In a short time, it would cool off and rain down
radioactive dust and ash on the surrounding areas. This would be inhaled into
lungs and would cause radiation poisoning. People’s organs would begin to fail
and hemorrhage.
Steve wanted to ask his Lord
a question, but he was suddenly moved to the Atlantic coast of the United
States. The coastline of the east coast appeared below. Nestled within a wide
inlet sat a huge, sprawling naval base with ships at anchor. It appeared to be
somewhat busy with men and equipment moving about. Suddenly, an explosion
turned the calm scene below into a nightmare. Within a few seconds, the main part
of the base was torn to pieces by a powerful shock wave and intense radiation. A
second nuke detonated, followed by a third. Within half a minute the entire
base was reduced to rubble.
Three white columns rose high
up into the atmosphere, enfolding as they cooled. Below, the installation
resembled a section of the lunar surface. Charred skeletons of buildings some
distance away, surrounded by wreckage, stubbornly maintained some semblance of
the military base that had existed only seconds ago. Figures in the distance
were running for cover.
Suddenly, Steve was snatched
away from that sad location and found himself hovering several hundred yards
away from the Statue of Liberty in the Upper New York Bay. He could see
Manhattan with its glistening skyscrapers and graceful bridges across the
water. The non-stop flow of traffic, which ran through the streets of New York
City, reminded Steve of ants in an ant colony. Millions of people worked,
played, and ate within those structures, oblivious to the destruction Steve had
just witnessed. Then, Steve shuddered at the thought that those millions of
people with their majestic towers might be destroyed in a few seconds of time,
sent to eternity before they knew what hit them.
Small boats crisscrossed the
bay, creating frothy wakes, avoiding large container ships, which were guided
by tugboats. These merchant vessels were brought toward the city dockyards,
with their costly cargoes. Food, apparel, shoes, trinkets, and widgets were
waiting in all those shipping containers to be eventually purchased and placed
in the homes of the New Yorkers and the people living in the northeastern half
of the United States. Steve knew that this city is the largest in the United
States, and was one of the most important cities in the U.S. It had started out
as a Dutch colony but soon began to grow into a prosperous trading town and
immigration hub.
A super-loud explosion
suddenly erupted, sending a shock wave through Steve’s body. Before Steve’s
eyes, a bright, expanding sphere of gas melted the glass and steel buildings in
Manhattan with a temperature of 180 million degrees Fahrenheit. This blistering
temperature was equal to temperatures found within the sun. In seconds, it had
erased whole neighborhoods within Manhattan. Several more nukes rained down on
the metropolis, turning the famous skyline into a wasteland. The boroughs of
New York City swiftly turned into radioactive debris with columns of very hot
smoke rising above, and somewhat resembling geysers. Queens, The Bronx, Manhattan,
and Brooklyn each resembled a wasteland or landfill. Staten Island was mostly
untouched, but radioactive fallout would likely settle on it within an hour or
less, depending on the wind.
“This couldn’t be happening,”
Steve thought. “How could such an important and wealthy city as this be utterly
destroyed?”
“My son,” Jesus said, hearing
his thoughts, “what you are seeing before you is what shall happen in the near
future because New York City and all of America has greatly hardened its heart
against Me. I have pleaded with it to repent, but most of the people in your
country have resisted My Spirit, and hardened their hearts against Me.
“Most have refused to repent,
and refused to seek Me, even though I have been pleading with them and warning
them. Most do not want to forsake their idols, and forsake their hobbies to
seek Me and know Me intimately, and personally, as their best Friend. Instead,
they want to pursue sin and depravity. Instead, they want to follow their own
will, over Mine. Instead, they want to forsake Me, and choose sin and
rebellion.
“Instead of humbling
themselves and trusting in Me for salvation, they have trusted in their own
works to save them. They have delighted in the pleasures of sin, and have
chosen to forsake Me. I will continue to plead with them and call out to them,
but the time is getting shorter and the days are closing.
“Soon, very soon, you will
begin to see these things happen in your nation, and you will hear of judgment
strike your country in very severe ways because it is not repenting from its
wickedness. Soon, you will hear of such destruction and calamity as will make
your ears tingle. That is what shall happen to your nation, but those who
seek Me and turn to Me will be led into places of refuge and safety, where I
will provide for them. But, those who refuse to seek Me will be warned and
pleaded with, but they will go into judgment. Their homes shall be taken from
them and given to others.
“Their wives and children
shall be separated from them. Their houses shall be destroyed and burned with
fire, with their belongings. I shall continue to call out to them, but these
things shall happen to those who will not repent. I am pleading with your nation
to repent. But, I cannot continue to plead before the judgment strikes. So,
warn your family about these things. They need to hear this. And, I the LORD
your God have spoken.”
Steve took it in and thought
about what his Lord just said. He could see from other parts of this vision
that people were resisting God, and that they suffered as a result. If only
they would turn to God, he thought, then God would lovingly receive them and
forgive them.
“My son,” Jesus said with
kindness and love, “I will now take you to a scene that will represent the
majority of the pastors in your country, and will show you their hearts. They
have compromised with the world so much that when it comes down to it, they
will compromise with the kingdom of the Antichrist, and with the deception of
the Beast, if they were still to be alive at that time. But, judgment will fall
on them shortly, unless they repent from compromising with the world and with
false brethren. Now, we will visit a special location to give you an idea of their
ungodly hearts.”

The scene of destruction was
swept away, and Steve instantly found himself floating above a congregation of
people within a large church building sanctuary or auditorium. A speaker was
standing behind a pulpit on which he had placed a Bible and some notes. He was
speaking to the crowd with eloquent speech that seemed to keep his listeners
engaged.
The master demon had black
goat-like hoofs; legs that resembled a goat; black, bat-like wings; a man-like
head with a long goatee and pointy horns on his head; and scaly skin that was
dark-grey in color. He wore a leather kilt that hung to his knees and carried a
sword in a scabbard, which hung on a leather belt. Steve shuddered to think
that this man was being controlled or influenced by demons.
The demons evidently did not
see Steve because they were looking at the crowd below and were working nimbly
with their living puppet. Snake-like specters crawled around the speaker’s neck
while gecko-like imps crawled over his arms and back. They resembled real-life
snakes and geckos, but they had dark-grey skin and red, glowing eyes.
Apparently, no one in the
audience noticed the demons, so Steve understood that they were invisible to
all people except for him, in this particular vision.
The speaker paced back and
forth, speaking calmly and sometimes enthusiastically about his topic. As Steve
listened, he became very appalled at what this man was saying.
“We’re free-thinkers,” the
speaker said, motioning to his audience, “and 21st century
Christians, who are open-minded. We are not close-minded to new ideas. We are
positive and open to new truths that will be brought before us by the wise of
this world [“Footnote” A.]. Truth changes over time, they say. So, we
pastors should learn to adapt to the way truth is being perceived now. Years
ago, we used to speak of sin, but now we believe that what society called sin
before is really just a perception of what is not socially acceptable.
“In other words, sin is
simply what is not socially acceptable, or what most people agree to be wrong.
So, if the consensus agrees that something is fine, then we can agree with
them, so that we can be relevant to them. We don’t want to look different than
the world, so that we can win them to Christ. Isn’t that the Gospel? We become
all things to all men [See “Footnote” B.]. We conform to the world’s tastes, live in
conformity to society, and bring the world into our churches, and the world
will come to church.”
The man paused and looked
over his audience, smiling. He asked them, “Do I have this right?”
Some said, “Amen, brother.”
Others simply nodded in agreement.
The speaker continued, “If
the world is not cool with our worship music, no problem. We’ll just change our
worship style to meet their expectations. I think you would all agree. Why give
them old songs when popular culture is moving on to new styles of music? Didn’t
King David say in the Psalms that he liked to sing new songs? [“Footnote”
C.].
“Some members of your
churches might be offended at this teaching, and especially about your speaking
on controversial social topics, but don’t let their rhetoric turn you off from
your mission. You have a lost world to win for Christ, so don’t let anyone stop
you. If some members of your church want you to preach sermons about Hell, tell
them that you are concerned about lost souls that might be offended, and that
might never want to come back to church again. They should understand.
“If they don’t, let them
leave your church. You don’t need those people. Hell is for the devil and his
demons. It isn’t for the human race. God is tolerant of people, isn’t He? He’s
not willing that any should perish [“Footnote” D.]. Forget Hell and
forget preaching about repentance. That is old fashioned and offensive to our
present-day society. …”
This appeared to be a
pastor’s conference, Steve realized, but it was very troubling to view. What
this man was saying disturbed him. He looked to Jesus who stood beside him.
“My son,” Jesus said, “this
man had fallen away due to pride, deception, and greed. He has forsaken the
right way, and gone after Balaam, which is a curse to him. Instead of seeking
Me, he is seeking his own agenda and his own goals. He loves the praises of men
more than My praises.
“Speaking with smooth words
and a double tongue, this man utters falsehoods that seem to have truth backing
them [“Footnote” E.]. But, it is deception. Lost souls need to be shown
the true Gospel that saves. They need to know that Heaven and Hell are real
places, and that Hell brings eternal suffering for the unrepentant soul, and
Heaven brings eternal blessing for the soul that trusts only in Me for
salvation.
“Souls must learn the truth
about Heaven and Hell to understand why I died on the cross for them. It is not
about conforming to the world to win them over. The apostle Paul would be
greatly offended to think that his words, which I placed into his mind, were
being misused to support sin [“Footnote” B.]. I never intended for these
Holy Scriptures to support conforming with sin. This is an abomination to Me.
“I do not want My Church to
live like the world. I want them to come out from the world, and be separate
from its evil ways [“Footnote” F.]. I say in My scripture not to love
the things that are in the world, and that any man who loves the things that
are in the world shall be destroyed, for the ways of the world are destructive
to those foolish enough to pursue them [“Footnote” G.].
“Sin is always going to be
sin. I do not change My Word. My Word remains the same. When I had Moses bring
the two stone tablets up into Mount Sinai, I wrote on them with My own finger
the Ten Commandments. These holy commandments existed from the beginning of the
time that mankind was placed on this earth. Cain killed his brother Abel,
breaking the commandment not to kill. Abraham broke the commandment not to lie,
for he spoke a half-truth to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, when he went down to Egypt
with Sarah his wife.
“He said that she was his
sister, but she was his wife. Now, it is true that she was his half-sister, but
she was still his wife, and he was leading Pharaoh to believe that she was
available for his harem. He did this out of fear for his life, thinking that
Pharaoh would kill him to take her to be his wife because she was very
beautiful, even for an older woman. I corrected Abraham for that sin, and he
repented.
“The sin of adultery and
incest committed by a man in the book of 1 Corinthians was dealt with in the
way Paul wrote to deal with a person who commits this sin. Such as person was
to be rebuked and shunned until he repents. For such a person to be part of a
Church would only bring the Church into contempt with My Word, and into
disgrace in the community in which it existed. The people in Corinth shunned
this ungodly man, and he repented.
“And, he was restored to
fellowship after he repented. For, he truly repented and truly had a change of
heart. He forsook that sin of adultery and incest with his father’s second
wife, who was not his mother, but was certainly his father’s wife. The false churches
of your time would allow such a wicked man to continue living in sin and would
not separate themselves from his company.
“In Corinth, they followed Paul’s instruction to separate themselves from him, and he felt convicted and
repented. But, in the case of the false churches, they would accept him, and
the whole church would become more and more wicked, and more and more ungodly,
because many of its members would forsake Me, and turn after sin.
“The false churches shall
become worse than they have ever before, and shall accept Sodomy, and
fornication, and adultery like never before. They shall never speak against any
sin, but they shall grow bolder in their error and in their wicked ways. They
shall preach messages to draw foolish souls into the fires of Hell by way of
their deceit, and cunning, and manipulation of the scripture, and by way of
appealing to popular sentiments.
“That is indeed what they
have done, and what they shall do. And, I shall have to judge them for this. I
am grieved with their hearts, for I see that I shall have to judge them very
soon. And, I the Lord your God and Abba Father have spoken, because I am One
with God the Father.”
Steve
pondered what Jesus had just said.
It was sad that so many people had chosen to forsake the Bible, and follow the
teachings of men instead.
“My
son,” Jesus said, “let us now go to a
certain place where you will see why I will have to judge your land, and why it
will be great destruction that comes to America for all its evil and rebellious
ways.”

Footnote:
(A.) 1 Corinthians 3:19-20 says: "[19] For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. [20] And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain."
(B.) 1 Corinthians 9:18-23 does not justify sin or conforming to the world to bring people into God's Kingdom. Romans 6:15-16 says: "[15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. [16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"
(D.) 2 Peter 3:9 which speaks of God's desire that all men might be saved does not say all will be saved. Romans 10:13 says "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." The people who call on the Name of Jesus Christ will be saved. Acts 4:12 says: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
(F.) 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 teaches to separate from the world and from its ungodly ways.
2 Corinthians 6:14-15 says: "[14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? [15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?"
(G.) 1 John 2:15-17 says: "[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. [17] And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
