ABRAHAM’S BOSOM, HEAVEN, AND HELL

This article is written to explain some important truth from God's Word to help inform people about the truth about God, Heaven, Hell, and Salvation. We need to seek God with all of our hearts and read God's Word, the Bible, to understand the truth. There is a lot of rampant deception spreading through Christianity.

SATAN CANNOT ENTER HEAVEN (But he can stand without the gate)

Many deceptions have been spreading about the Lake of Fire, Hell, Salvation, and God Himself. Let's first look at the Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire is the judgment that shall happen to those whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of Life (see Revelation3:5, Revelation 20:15, Revelation 21:7). Heaven is the place where all those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life will go. Satan cannot enter God's holy Heaven, where God is worshiped by the believers. Isaiah 66:1 tells us that Heaven is God's throne and Earth is His footstool.

Psalm 5:4: "For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee."

Revelation 21:27

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Satan cannot enter God's Holy place. Satan can stand without the gate where God had listened to the Devil's accusations against believers. Psalm 127:5 says that the righteous man's children "...shall speak with the enemies in the gate." God also speaks with the enemy in the gate of Heaven, not inside Heaven proper.

(In 2 Corinthians 12:2, there are three (3) levels of Heaven mentioned or alluded to. Paul wrote: "I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven." [2 Corinthians 12:2]. Satan was cast out of the third heaven where the believers worship God. Jesus saw Satan fall from Heaven like lightning. See Luke 10:18.)

Luke 16 speaks of Abraham and Lazarus being able to see the torment of souls in Hell, across a great gulf or chasm. This was a temporary place, located near Hell, but not part of Hell, where Old Testament believers went to stay until Jesus Christ came to preach to them (after He died on the cross and before His resurrection). Again, this was not part of Hell.

On June 30, 1997, thousands of copies of the first Harry Potter book filled the shelves of bookstores in the U.K. (1). Since then, over 450 million copies of Harry Potter books have been sold worldwide and the eight Harry Potter movies have raked in $7.7 billion at the box office worldwide (2). Yet, sadly many Christians have bought into the lie that these books and movies are just harmless entertainment.

It started when the kids back in 1997 became crazy over the first Harry Potter books, wanting what their friends told them were “good” books. Parents watched their kids reading the thick volumes and were glad to see the children doing something they thought of as “more productive” and “educational” than just playing video games or watching TV.

HARRY POTTER EXPOSED

Harry Potter books are not educational in a good sense nor are they just for entertainment. The late David J. Meyer, a former witch (or warlock), wrote this regarding Harry Potter books (3):

“As a former witch, I can speak with authority when I say that I have examined the works of Rowling and that the Harry Potter books are training manuals for the occult. Untold millions of young people are being taught to think, speak, dress and act like witches by filling their heads with the contents of these books. Children are obsessed with the Harry Potter books that they have left television and video games to read these witchcraft manuals. 

The first book of the series, entitled "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone", finds the orphan, Harry Potter, embarking into a new realm when he is taken to "Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." At this occult school, Harry Potter learns how to obtain and use witchcraft equipment. Harry also learns a new vocabulary, including words such as "Azkaban", "Circe", "Draco", "Erised", "Hermes", and "Slytherin"; all of which are names of real devils or demons. These are not characters of fiction!

How serious is this? By reading these materials, many millions of young people are learning how to work with demon spirits. They are getting to know them by name. Vast numbers of children professing to be Christians are also filling their hearts and minds, while willingly ignorant parents look the other way.” (3) (See Works Cited.)

The names of characters in Harry Potter books are the actual names of demons that real witches and occultists deal with. This is serious! God forbids witchcraft and the occult in His Holy Word.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (bold added) 

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. 

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

All types of witchcraft (sorcery in any form) are an abomination to God! God will hold people accountable for their choices regarding their families (what they allow their kids to watch, read, and play) and regarding themselves.

2 Corinthians 5:10: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

This is serious. We cannot overstate how serious this is. Many professing “Christians” have said that Harry Potter is “innocent” and “harmless”. Both statements are lies. Harry Potter is neither innocent, nor harmless.

A powerful array of deceptions and lies has entered the church and false teachers have twisted scripture to make these lies seem believable. False teachers are promising blessings and prosperity to their followers, but this contradicts the clear teaching of scripture. We will expose in this article the deception of Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Joseph Prince, Kenneth Copeland, and other false teachers. We will primarily focus on Warren's teachings since his are the most influential of the group.

“THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE” IS NOT FOR CHRIST

In Rick Warren’s best-selling book, The Purpose Driven Life, a false gospel is taught. It does not promote any repentance from sin and it does not promote Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. For example, Rick Warren writes:

“If you are not sure you have done this, all you need to do is receive and believe. ... First, believe. Believe God loves you and made you for his purposes. Believe you’re not an accident. Believe you were made to last forever. Believe God has chosen you to have a relationship with Jesus, who died on the cross for you. Believe that no matter what you’ve done, God wants to forgive you. Second, receive. Receive his forgiveness for your sins. Receive his Spirit, who will give you the power to fulfill your life purpose. ..." (The Purpose Driven Life, pp. 58, 59) (1)

There is no mention anywhere of repentance. Repentance is necessary because if a person continues in sin and refuses to repent, that sin has become his or her master. Jesus Christ told us that…

Luke 16:13-15 

13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 

14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him. 

15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Abraham (or Abram) had left Ur of the Chaldees with his father, Terah; his nephew, Lot; his wife, Sarah (or Sarai); and their servants. He traveled over 1,000 miles from Ur to Canaan (1), the land God had promised to him and his son Isaac. Ur is now called Tell el-Muqayyar, Iraq and is 140 miles southeast of the ruins of the ancient city of Babylon (in Iraq) (2).

In modern times, Abraham would have hopped aboard an airliner and reached his destination in a few hours. When Abraham (who was then called Abram) got to Haran, he stayed there, waiting until his father had passed away. Then, he traveled to the land of Canaan.

In Canaan, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham and promised him and his son Isaac (who was born much later) that Canaan would belong to Abraham along with all the land between and the Nile river (the river of Egypt) and the Euphrates river (see Genesis 15:18-21). God also promised the land to Abraham’s son Isaac (Genesis 26:1-8), making it clear who God had chosen to be the promised seed. Finally, God also confirms his promise to Jacob, Isaac’s son and Abraham’s grandson (Genesis 28:10-15).

Getting back to Abraham—Abraham’s flocks and herds, along with Lot’s flocks and herds, get so numerous that they cannot occupy the same land anymore and Abraham gives Lot the opportunity to choose whether or not he will settle in the then-fertile land near the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Genesis 13 says…

10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. 

11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

Years go by and Abraham gets older. As Lot stayed in the region near Sodom, he began to get closer to the city until the Bible records that Lot lived in the city of Sodom (Genesis 19). God the Son, the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ, appears to Abraham in the form of a man along with two angels who also appear as men. Abraham prepares a meal for them and communes with these people who he thinks are travelers. After a time, the two angels leave and head toward Sodom.

The pre-incarnate Jesus Christ stays longer with Abraham. From Him, Abraham learns that God is going to destroy Sodom and the neighboring Gomorrah because…

The Devil has been working hard to destroy the family, starting with the man--the head of the household. This article is going to point out certain things that can help you and yours overcome this great lure and trap that Satan has created to lure men (and women) into destruction.

A poll by the Barna group discovered that 77 percent of “Christian men” between 18 and 30-years-old viewed pornography at least once per month (1); 64 percent of “Christian men” of various ages viewed it at that same rate (2); and 65 percent of non-Christian men admitted to looking at pornography “at least once a month” (2). Also, 15 percent of “Christian women” and 30 percent of non-Christian women viewed pornography at least once per month (2).

These statistics should be alarming and they show the moral condition of America. The number of men and women viewing pornography has increased since the internet came into being. Before, it was harder to access. Now, anyone can find it easily. This is the danger people face each day. There is a solution to this problem, but it may not be what many want to hear.

SATAN’S DECEPTION

God created men and women in God’s image. God created them with the desire to marry and bear children, who they would raise to worship God. Along came Satan the deceiver. The Devil wanted to keep men and women from having a good personal relationship with the loving, Holy God. Satan tempted Adam and Eve with sin and power, using the words, “…Yea, hath God said,…” (see Genesis3). The Devil plants doubts into our minds. Satan wants us to doubt God’s word and doubt what Jesus Christ said.

Jesus Christ said that Satan is the father of lies. Jesus told the wicked Pharisees…

John 8:44: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Satan cannot tell anyone the truth without putting a distortion on it to use it out of context—or, to add a clever lie to the truth to make the truth a powerful deception. Watch out for his traps!

“That woman is really attractive,” a demon whispers to a man. Another demon says to a woman, “That man over there is so handsome and your husband is so busy. He doesn’t have time for you…” An urge to sin tugs at the person being tempted. In such a situation, we must look to Jesus (if we know Him) and cry out for deliverance from temptation. Then, we must confront the attack head on.

We will present some powerful solutions that I (this author) have found to be very effective against temptation. It may help to look at a scenario through a series of steps one can follow to get spiritual victory. We will try to be concise.

America has come a long way from the America that existed just 80 years ago. In the late ‘40s, the seeds of America’s demise were already sown, but society as a whole was more morally upright than the America of today. Our culture has changed drastically from its Christian beginnings.

Idolatry in the form of entertainment, money, hobbies, etc. have always existed, but today idolatry has been glorified and treated as if it’s a worthy cause. American Idol, a popular TV show, was named in honor of America’s idolatrous nature. Advertisements promote movies and widgets in order to “get-rich-quick”; or “party with your friends”; or “make yourself happy through having more stuff”; or “entertain yourself with this high definition TV.”

The Elite (or the Illuminati) and their master (the Devil) have sought to entrap people into a world of entertainment, distractions, and diversions. Satan hates God and does not want people putting God first. If Satan can keep us happy watching TV, spending too much time on hobbies, or caught up into entertainment (including sports), then he can keep us from seeking and getting to know the God that created us.

DECEPTION IS A TOOL

Deception is a powerful tool in the Devil’s arsenal. Deception is so powerful because it blends enough lies in with the truth to make a stronger lie. We will give a little scenario for you. If a used car salesman were to tell you that an old grey Buick in his lot was in top condition because it was only driven by an old lady who seldom drove, you would likely be skeptical. 

But, if the salesman presented you with a brand-new-looking car (a shiny Corvette) and said it was practically brand new and had only been driven briefly before being sold, you’d probably be more inclined to buy it than the first car. Say you bought it and found that the Corvette had major mechanical problems that would cost tons of money to repair. You do calculations and realize it would be cheaper to buy the same model of Corvette, brand new, from a Chevrolet dealership. The used car salesman was clearly lying to you but you went for it because the car looked so nice and had a lower price tag than a brand-new Corvette would have.

Deception works like that in other forms. A lie is packed among a bundle of truth in order to make it attractive. The lie that a person can do his (or her) own will and live according to his (or her) own pleasure, with God’s blessing on him (/ her), comes from a misunderstanding of who God is.

Prosperity teachers have said that God just wants us to be blessed with wealth and good health and to enjoy having a “good life.” This flies in the face of what Jesus Christ taught his followers throughout the Gospel accounts (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). For instance, Jesus said…

Luke 14:33: “So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.”

Hollywood is one of the most powerful tools of deception in the Devil’s arsenal. It has promoted the occult in many films and has achieved many of the goals set out by the Elite (or Illuminati) since Hollywood was started. One of their goals was to destroy the morality (good morals) of America.

How have they achieved this? In the early 20^th century, Hollywood had no ratings board and no code of conduct. Smutty films were displayed to audiences in theaters across America. Many of the early films promoted occult themes and displayed flagrant immorality (like they do today).

But, in 1930, due to public outcries against the movies and church boycotts, Hollywood accepted what became known as the Hays Code (1). This code prohibited films from showing smut and “cleaned them up” so that they could be watched by general audiences. However, these later movies did not change the way they portrayed romance.

Male actors were still shown kissing female actresses (who they were not married to in real life) and occultic elements were still present in movies. For example, The Wizard of Oz (1939) portrayed occult magic to children. Fritz Springmeier, a researcher of trauma-based mind control, learned that movies like Disney’s Fantasia (which features Mickey Mouse doing sorcery) and The Wizard of Oz were used by evil men (who were Satanists) who performed horrible experiments on children, whose minds were still developing.

These experiments used physical and emotional trauma to create multiple personalities which the “programmers” could use to create “Manchurian candidates.” (You can read more about this topic here.)

We will not cover any more about this topic of mind control except to say that Hollywood movies and Disney cartoon have been used for mind-control purposes and for promoting occult themes.

The occult has always been a part of Hollywood and the Hays Code did nothing to prevent it from being displayed in movies. James Dean, a popular Hollywood actor from the ‘50s, promoted rebellion (2), fast cars, and “do-it-your-way”. Dean was involved with something dark and sinister that few know about.

The New World Order is an expression many have heard about since before the days of George Bush, Sr. when he repeatedly spoke of a “New World Order.” In an address before Congress on September 11, 1990, Bush said:

"Today that new world is struggling to be born, a world quite different from the one we've known. A world where the rule of law supplants the rule of the jungle. A world in which nations recognize the shared responsibility for freedom and justice." (1).

In the name of establishing “the rule of law” the globalists tried to justify creating a global order under the control of a central government. This was prophesied to happen in the book of Revelation (such as in Rev. 13).

The beast and the false prophet of Revelation 13 are world leaders that shall arise and lead the world to worship the beast (commonly known as the Antichrist); to receive a mark; and to live in a New World Order. People who refuse the mark will be beheaded if they are caught (see Revelation 20:4).

NEW WORLD ORDER

This New World Order is the same “order” that is being promoted today through the TV, in movies, in video games, in books, in cartoon shows, and in many other worldly avenues. There is almost nothing popular that does not promote it. Even clothing brands promote the New World Order. The “OBEY” clothing line features Illuminati (or occult) symbols which promote the occult through the symbolism (2). One shirt in the “OBEY” brand features an all-seeing eye above a triangle, together with a square and compass of Freemasonry (2).

The world is heading toward a conclusion: a single world empire ruled by one man. The preparation toward this goal has been long in the making and the deception to promote this kingdom has been powerful and clever.

It is all around us and seeks to lure people into conformity to the goals of the “elite”. The deception can be found in movies, books, TV shows, sports, business, toys, games, and many so-called “churches” (or false churches). It is promoted through advertisements and media.

Nothing has been left out of this deception. Society has been gripped by it and deceived. This deception has been going on for a long time, but in more recent years it has been accelerating toward the acceptance of a single planetary government and a single world leader (the beast or “Antichrist”).

We will look at a few of the areas where this deception is being promoted, and how it is promoted, and then show what we can do about it.

Hollywood

Hollywood movies have been the vehicle of deception for a long time. Since their early beginning at the end of the Victorian era, movies have spread deception in the form of the occult, sorcery, profanity, and fornication (or immoral lifestyles).

Every year, many movies are made which display occult symbolism and sorcery. Some examples include Star Wars movies, The Hobbit trilogy, The Chronicles of Narnia, Twilight movies, Harry Potter films, Percy Jackson films, National Treasure, The Matrix, etc.

The all-seeing eye (an occult symbol) is prevalent in many movies, TV shows, video games, advertisements, etc. Many books could be written about the occult symbols in movies and video games. This eye is the symbol for Horus who is the ancient Egyptian god of sun-worship and the eye of Horus is an ancient magic symbol (1) (see End Notes).

National Treasure movies (starring Nicolas Cage) feature the eye of Horus (or the all-seeing eye) on their movie posters. A Series of Unfortunate Events, starring Jim Carrey, displays numerous all-seeing eye symbols throughout it. (Note: I, the author, don’t watch movies anymore. I used to, but I have stopped watching movies [Hollywood-type movies and the like] since about three years ago.)

Occult “powers” are displayed on the big screen to crowds of captivated people: men, women, and children. Movies such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (Nicolas Cage), Percy Jackson, etc. are getting the youth to believe that the occult is something that is fun to practice and participate in. How many children have donned wizard hats, pretended to use magic wands to cast spells on each other, or used imaginary “Force” powers in their play?

As children get older, they get inundated with images of unmarried men and women kissing each other in movies; violent scenes of killing or fighting; sorcery or magic causing levitation or other phenomena; actors using profanity; subliminal messages promoting the occult and sexual perversion, etc.

These immoral scenes are entering the hearts and minds of these children (and adults), preparing children and adults to accept something that is coming our way in the near future.

Video Games

Many video games promote the New World Order and the agenda of the “Elite” (or Illuminati). One notable example is the video game Deus Ex (from 2000). In a transcript from the video game, the character Morgan Everett tells JC Denton: “We are the Invisible Hand. We are the Illuminati. […]. And eventually... eventually we will lead them into the day.” (2) (Works Cited).
